Would it help if I told you I was exaggerating and it is actually only $498?

General consensus is that the price tag is too damn high, but custies gonna custie.

I would lovvvve to know the sales numbers on that set, I can’t imagine a single Phish fan actually buying it unless they’re trying to doing for a collection of some sort.
rather be on tour..

I thought it got ridiculous when they had the Joy box set for $80. At least this collection is more than two albums.

^ I have to admit, I custied up on the Joy Box. Not my best decision. I haven't opened it in years. The way the CDs were packaged made it so you had to transfer them to a CD binder if you wanted them in your car. The DVD was one of the worst companion DVDs ever. (REMs Around the Sun DVD comes to mind) I could go on.

Maybe a bunch of people who attended all 13 shows might buy it? But if that's the case, their target demo is only a few thousand people.

I remember being annoyed that the only way to get Party Time was to get that box set so it became the first time I went online to steal some studio Phish tunes. They didn't release PT on it's own until a few years later. Wasn't that great an album anyway.

Not sure. Figured it wouldn't be worth the cost to toss it together but maybe they sell better than we think.

Maybe they should of thrown in some DvD'S.

::price goes up another 200 dollars::

But all in all if they could of thrown in some kind of DVD and a flac download/USB option, I think it would be better received by fans.

The Dead will do USB versions of their box sets, and I think that is brilliant. I would consider a USB containing 13 soundboards. It would be cheap as hell for them to produce, it makes it easy as hell to upload to your phone, and you don't have to do the tedious nugs downloader. Definitely should have been the economy option.

I bet in time we'll see more economically viable options. I mean I guess there's always the AUDs. I just enjoyed the hell out of the Coconut donut show I just listened to ... I know I'm down on them for the whole Baker's Dozen CD & LP bullshit ... but I'm planning to strike it rich suddenly somehow and then just buy both of them and stop my bitchin'.

There’s some really spectacular AUDs from BD.

I'm still trying to listen to all of 2017. I'll say it was kinda slow going until I got to Baker's Dozen. I'm only on second donut, but the fun factor is way up. The announcement of the CD & LP releases got me back on course, as far as listening. That first Coconut Donut show is great, I listened about three times before moving on.

I thought the entire year was scorching and remember being pretty pumped over the leadup shows to the Dozen. Northerly Nights 1-2 and Pittsburgh definitely stand out for me. I liked how they were already experimenting in those early shows. The year had a different feel right from the start.

I 100% agree with The Bastard on this one. I thought 2017 started better than any other summer tour of 3.0. Northerly Night 2 was the second night of the tour and its second set is among the best sets I have ever seen. Nothing was predictable, they were jamming early and often, and after night one they were pretty tight. (Night one had great jams, but it was slop city.)

Phish could end every show with a Slave To The Traffic Light and I would be ok with that.

Less than a month now.

Mike has provided evidence that they are in fact rehearsing. Though this is probably bad for his hearing.

Rehearsing 3 weeks out seems like a great sign to me!

Maybe a bunch of new material?

Seems like they've been pretty steady on spring around 3/4 new songs on us every tour. For last year, I kinda like the Trey songs like Everything Right and Come Together but was less into the original tunes like Leaves and Thread and such. Very curious to see what we get.

Everything's Right is a solid addition the Phish's catalog, and I actually like Leaves. I do not much care for Thread.

^I think both tunes have potential but could maybe be reworked in the studio a bit. Plus the singing was often...err...not good.

PTBM's have begun shipping out. Of the ones I have seen I really like this one.

1 week!

Feels like it's taken forever for the tour to get going. Not sure if it's always like this or I'm just feeling weird about it.
