That's what I thought too, but I think a recent interview stated it would be Aug/Sep.

I haven't been this excited for a new album since Evil Urges or Everything that happens will happen today.
Well, here we are, Mr. Pilgrim, trapped in the amber of this moment. There is no why.

Didn't the Phish.com say that Pre order info for this album would begin last week?

I'm sure you know but on dry goods you can pre-order it already. That boxset thing with the two shirts looks awesome BUT I don't have that kind of money :(

I might just buy the LP and download it in mp3 also.

Received an email from Phish Inc saying that my pre-order delivery is delayed, blah, blah, blah, and here's a 10% discount on Dry Goods for the inconvenience. Not a bad apology, but I'd rather have the package.

I still need to purchase this album on CD. Used to be pumped about getting the vinyl, but that is now TBD. There really is nothing on side 4... that is pretty darn lame. Just completely smooth, eh?

Joy is over there in her incredible clothes, she has silver silk shimmer down to her toes...

How much of the song Joy is for/about Trey's sister?

I would say 101%.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Actually, there was a post/interview with Marshall in the Fest 8 Newspaper saying how it STARTED as a song to Trey's sister. Then it took the form of a few other different interpretations considering all the shit everyone was dealing with at the time...

So, it has 50-70% to do with Trey's sis. The rest is what YOU think it means...

I put on Side 3 last night and really enjoyed it. Spun it again in fact. It's still on the turntable now, even.

I still take issue with the lyrics on a lot of newer Phish, but it matters a whole lot less when you're in the mood for it. I had played the newest Metallica album (which is seven years old now, lolz.) and that album reminds me so much of TTE and vice versa, and so I broke out Joy and headed for side 3. For both Death Magnetic and Time Turns Elastic, it's like it's the most ambitious musical thing they've done in years, ... but with lyrics that sound like a stream of consciousness therapy journal, rather than something fun or interesting for the listener.

Anyway, I like the 3.0 records AND have complaints about them too. Imagine that shit. I'm nothing if not a fascinatingly complex, multi-dimensional, lazy hippie guy.
