This, McGrupp, and the ending part of Lizards are why I think Trey is a genius, but a better music writer than a lyric writer. The music to TMWSIY is spelllbinding and paints such a great picture without a single word needed.

This is such a beautiful song. Takes me to a magical world where all the pieces are fitting it to place, yet everything is falling apart all at the same time. We know it's all gonna work out, but we're worried anyway.

The fact that is segues into avenu malkenu makes it all the more powerful for me...As I'm Jewish and the song is rife with meaning for me. Although I must add that they botch the words big time :)

Wish they would play this more, including the >Avenu
"I would choose my own religion
And worship my own spirit
But if he ever preached to me
I wouldn't want to hear it

I'd drop him, a forgotten god,
Languishing in shame
And then if I hit stormy seas
I'd have myself to blame"
