I realize I'm late to the game on this one, but the 8/26/93 Reba is my new favorite. I can't believe how beautiful it is, and then Trey just tears it up...

i listened to 8/12/93 the other day and realized this reba is pretty much the precussor of the next (8/16). really exploratory and cool. the main difference for me is that not only does 8/16 have three awesome jams but the ending is one of the best i have ever heard. but 8/12 is solid in book too.

Yowzer!

7-6-00. It OPENS the show! Trey is ON, as is everyone!

This is one of the longer versions I've ever heard, too.

Maybe they noticed the smokiness of the venue and decided to blow everyone's minds?

Yeah! It's no 7-6-00 or even 10-31-94, but it hits a great peak (as most of them do) and even includes the whistling. Trey shreds near the end of this version!

This is a Bad ass version. Sounds like they Break free of the Ebmaj7-> Fmaj jam, and it has almost a minor key sound ...LIke a Bathtub peak . Sweet stuff!

can someone hook up 08/16/93 by any chance? I love the Roxy '93 version, infallible set, Trey's going nuts. Not the chillest Reba but very unique.

If anyone is into strange/weird/atypical "Reba"s, check out 10/29/98.

I can't even explain the jam.

The segue into "Walk Away," however, is glorious.

From my estimation, this "Reba" lasts (until "Walk Away" is evident) almost 21 minutes.

I looked but didn't see it mentioned either. I was surprised.

Then I found someone actually did mention it on page 3: our old friend yem.

This song as it progresses only gets better to me. The beginning part honestly drives me crazy (the lyrics part). But the jam segment (3/1/97 SSAP show, mcnichols phall '97, clifford ball, IT, and Greek Theatre Phall '98 tour opener versions are my favorites) is AMAZING.... obviously what this song is all about.

I always put that version and the Warfield '98 version together.
Both do atypical Reba stuff, but are kinda different.
Don't know why I lump them together...

I've got mixed feelings about 02-23-90. The whole beginning isn't too intriguing, especially when Fishman botches "the part". Butt in the latter part of the song, Trey does some amazing work and the music keeps dipping and shit and it feels weird, it sounds like they are all expecting to end at different times, heh. just sayin'.

The Somewhere Over the Rainbow jam in 1994-07-03 is quite delightful.

Gotta get my vote in for 10-21-95.. definitely my favorite version ever - unique start to the jam, ridiculous peaks and a solid, solid close.
