*note: This material was broadcast over FM, and recorded to an unknown medium....there is a very sharp frequency cut off on the high end...I am assuming that this was caused from the FM compression, reception on the recording device, the medium it was recorded to, and the initial transfer to CD. I lowered the volume by 4db, to make it a little easier on the ears (and speakers) when being played back.

PHRIED PHISH 1997 (Euro-Baked) - A History of the Jams

For me, this was an amazing time to be seeing the band. During my first show of the tour in London I felt like I was seeing them again for the first time -- so much new music and a new vibe. From there things just evolved better and better to my ears with loving all the new songs, but also diggin' on the improvisations we were getting treated to in these small/tiny venues. The last two shows I saw were the Amsterdam gigs, and what a way to finish an amazing ride.

This collection is bookended with what I might consider my two favourite PHISH jams: the Ghost jam on 7/1 to open the set and then the jam from Stash on 7/2 to close. I really enjoy boiling down the gigs to just the jams and listening to the band from this perspective, and hope you dig it too.

- Please excuse some of the edits; I'm obiviously not a professional.
- Each track simply fades-in and fades-out.
- Volume level is inconsistent due to the variety of sources used;
some software will allow you to burn at a consistent volume level
- The tracks list the tunes from which the jams were spawned.
- As always, enjoy the grooves!

In the Pharmers vol 6. this show is a one set show. Although I got this
from Greg Overall (THANK YOU) who make me a clone, and he got it from Kevin S.
As you can see the first set is dead on with the Phamers, except my DAT had a Destiny on it.
Since the my DAT has 2 sets on it, I believe this to be a 2 set show!

Thanks to Augustus for seeding the '99 Japan tour. I've yet to hear anything from these shows except for the 7-31 Caspian from the anniversary thread.

Grab 'em on etree while they're hot!

More thanks to Augustus for seeding the '00 Japan tour. ;D

And here's another '99er up right now (Star Lake):

Was this requested by the OKP's very own Swartzbaugh?
If so, thanks - I didn't have it in lossless format.

That I Wanna Be Like You is really fun. This might be the only show where I'll skip to the Fish song and play it over and over.
