Someone said that during a show?

All this cypress talk has me listening to it again, and through out a 4 song section, everyone is yelling request, and you keep hearing this voice, totally fried, yelling, "Something for JERRY, MAN!"

I think .MD5 was a side project featuring Dave Mustaine of megadeth. these must be files of that, i suppose.

Why do you hate them? They are the opposite of harmful, they are helpful!

^not to mention the sign in the audience.

On that note i just listened to a Phish show the other day in which somebody successfully yells out "GUMBO!" in the first set.

that's always such an uplifting moment...it's like the crowd scoring a tuchdown or somehting.

Postby jawbone » Fri Apr 28, 2006 6:27 am

i'm listening to a Dead show right now from 4/18/82 and right after "Samson" you hear some guy standing near the tape recorder say, not scream, say "play 'Ship Of Fools' Jerry"

sure enough next song....Ship Of Fools.

this is especially cool for me as this is my favorite Dead song.

EDIT: P.S. this show has a WICKED drums->space->Other One for anyone interested.

I used to have a Phish show from Philly sometime in the early 90's, the crowd would randomly shout "Crazybread"

1988-02-07

Second set opens with the little musical intro to AC/DC Bag.

This can be heard, very clearly:

Hetty dude 1: "Hey man, didn't you come with Joe? Where is he?"
Hetty dude 2: "He's out back gettin' stoned... I think."

Grateful Dead, 1970-06-24

Dark Star>attics>dark star>sugar mag>dark star>st stephen

The band drops into space after the first verse of Dark Star, and as Mickey hits his gong a dude whose face is melting says "Oh my GOD!"

From Gathering of The Vibes '05, in the SBD of RAQ's performance you can hear Stoops say to Michetti "lets just play whipping post and get the fuck out of here!" kind of a bummer, actually.

Was just listening to an aud for Gorge '03 night 2 and after that blistering Carini, just as the crowd is starting to clap and cheer, it seems someone leans over to the taper or by the taper and says, " what's the name of that song?" :eh:
I do not hear a response.
Obviously he wasn't a boy scout.

Just like Altamont.

Ahhhh...those were the days.

EDIT: I had never seen this thread before today. For the most part, all the woo-hooing and other audience blabbering is just annoying. I want to hear the music. I just started listening to a 10-20 Utica AUD today, and the crowd is louder than the band. I understand it's mostly just a bad recording, but people need to tone it down around the mikes. And EVERY song does not require constant woo-hooing.
