Phish Dream Covers

lowspark wrote:List some songs you think Phish would absolutely destroy

Sympathy for the Devil (Rolling Stones)

Tin Man (America)

I absolutely agree that these two would be fantastic. Also:

Ventura Highway (America) - This seems to fit them with the do, do, do, do part

Anything by Ween (beyond Roses) - would love to see a Chocolate and Cheese musical costume, or Jon Fishman singing Ocean Man.

Dixie Chicken - Little Feat

Naive Melody - Talking Heads

And the Stranglehold idea is a great one!

Lola by the kinks with some heavy jam sessions added in would be a fun song. Especially if the crowd joined in.

^ Hell yeah for I Am The Slime. One of my favorite Zappa songs ever.
His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.

Let It Rain - Eric Clapton

I think that would be an awesome 2nd set opener during a stormy summer show.
we are all being pursed. some have been found, some are still running. some will keep running until they get to the end of the road, straight off the proverbial cliff. you don't have to turn back, you just have to turn around.

I don't know if it is possible, but if anyone can do it, it would be Phish.

Peace Frog -> Blue Sunday - The Doors

I think this could be fantastic. Peace Frog with with Mike and Fish on lead and backing vocals then Trey sings Blue Sunday. I that could have some true glory to it.

After relistening to Corrine Carina @ 12/30/09. I think Shining Star by JGB might be a consideration.
