I was listening to this and for some reason I pictured Mike Gordon 'singing' it.

I would be all about this. I've been on a huge Focus kick lately, probably the one band right now that I would love to see live as much as Phish. Too bad they usually only tour in Europe.

let's not also forget http://user9510.vs.easily.co.uk/ohkeepa/viewtopic.php?f=102&t=12756

maybe a mod could combine the three threads so we don't have three active threads for the same topic?

I think that if anyone could re-sing the Velvet Underground's "I'm Waiting for the Man" and make it still sound good, it would be Page.

I was thinking yesterday that Stormy Monday Blues (originally T-Bone Walker, more familiar with ABB's cover) could be a cool cover for them to do.. its more of a jazzy blues song I think than a raw southern bluesy sound, so I think its right up their alley.. I think there's a lot of room for them to jam it out as well
rather be on tour..

Also Television Man by Talking Heads. My favorite of theirs most likely, give it a listen if you haven't heard!

as much as Phish and the Clash are two of my all time immortal favorite bands, this is one of the only Clash songs i'd like to hear Phish cover. Along with "I'm Not Down" and maybe "Rudie Can't Fail" "Version City" "Car Jamming" and "Bankrobber"

Jammin'- Bob Marley
What Is And What Should Never Be- Zep
King's Lead Hat- Brian Eno

I know it's been mentioned, but Cripple Creek by the Band would just get down and funky.

I was thinking the past couple weeks that opening one of the AC shows with Seeger's Ramblin' Gamblin' Man with Fish on lead vocals would be the shit. Trey could easily handle the simple drumming that song has and I think it's a great song to get the crowd into a frenzy.

Also Paul Simon's Late in the Evening would be awesome with TAB or Giant Country Horns
