+1 for any Oingo Boingo, one of my all time favorite bands!

i once wore my "Mango Song" tshirt to an Olive Garden... a waiter spun around and said "OMG does your shirt say Oingo Boingo???"

i said "no, it says Mango Song".

he said, "damn. i was about to say you're my hero".

You should have asked him if his restaurant was called Olivia's Pool, which is of course superior to Olive Garden, and would have more heroic characters than the putz waiter.

am I the only one that thinks Phish would totally blow up on "West End Girls" by the Pet Shop Boys? Maybe with a special guest vocalist. That would be pretty fresh.

Ah yes you're right, but it would be cool if they did the whole song. Although Steam is kind of similar.

Yes!

Double Yes! I would love to see a Squirming Coil > Rhapsody in Blue.

My own dream cover would probably be Dr. Worm by TMBG. W/ horns of course.
Well, here we are, Mr. Pilgrim, trapped in the amber of this moment. There is no why.

Wait are yall serious about the Abracadabra ? :silent:

I've always thought any and all Parliament would tear the roof off. Throw some horns on stage, and crank up mike's meatball. DANCE PARTY

I dont' think that it is the greatest song ever, but I can see teh Phish having a lot of fun with it.

Not only is Abracadabra not one of the greatest songs ever... it is one of the worst songs ever!

though i shalt not be in attendance, which is nothing new, I do think about what I'd be interested in hearing
Phish do at halloween... which is certainly not what may or may not be a good fit...

Police - Ghost in the Machine
Steely Dan - The Royal Scam
Blind Faith

Course they'll probably do Traffic - low spark of high heeled boys.

Some Black Sabbath would be more than interesting.
AC/DC i guess.
Rush maybe some Yes.
Zappa for you Zappa heads. idk, never been a big fan.

Out of all that Blind Faith just might be the shit. Old school hippie rock. Page singing some Winwood. Plenty of jamming, plenty room for Trey to wail. I'd much rather hear that then something funked or progressive multi-passage stuff.

ya hear me Phish, ^this is yer album.

what they shouldn't do is floyd, zeppelin, GD. don't get me wrong, all hall of fame stuff... it's just so overplayed.

or a new fishman tune: The Doors - Horse Latitudes>Moonlight Drive.. with mocking fishman vocals and vacuum soloing. though this might've been better suited for 94'.

Yeah, that P-Funk guest appearance didn't quite live up to what was intended, that's for sure.

Mr. Mister - Kyrie

Page would have to sing, because the vocals are somewhat important. I could see a Contact-style, audience participation ending, when everything drops except the vocals+drums.

i was aware of that cheesy medley, but i meant the actual song. not awkwardly stumbling through multiple songs. Play the full song. and with horns. p funk doesn't work without horns. and no george clinton. just the horn section. it would work trust me
