Now let's start getting pushy about this A Picture Of Nectar double vinyl I'm envisioning here. Imagine side 4:

Chaldust
Faht
Catapult
Tweezer Reprise.

Does side two start with Poor Heart, Stash or Manteca? Will there be a gatefold of that cool glass of milk picture? Will the labels be so cool that you fart good smells just lookin at em? Find out when we make them issue this thing. Occupy JEMP Records.

I've been wondering what the difference (if any) there was from the Superball releases and the Black Friday releases and found this on the Phish website saying they're from the same run:

The White Tape (180g white vinyl) and Party Time (2-LP 180g vinyl) were first released on vinyl this past summer at Super Ball IX, and these copies are part of the same original run. Both LPs will be available in stores only beginning November 25th, 2011.

It's hard to believe that all copies didn't sell at Superball; which leads to my next question. Does anyone know how many copies of White Tape and Party Time were produced on vinyl?

I thought I remembered that there were 1500. The White Tape record WAS sold out, because my SBIX agent tried to get me one and they were gone. They must have held some back I guess.

On Record Store Day 2012, Phish will release Junta, the band's first full-length studio album, as a Limited Edition Deluxe 3-LP vinyl set, available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores across the country. Junta marks the band's second release in conjunction with Record Store Day, and the first time Junta has ever been released on vinyl.

This LE Deluxe 3-LP vinyl set is limited to 5,000 individually numbered copies. Junta was recorded at Euphoria Sound Studios in Revere, Massachusetts in 1987 and 1988 on 16-track 2" tape and was mixed to 1/4" stereo reels. In addition to writing and performing all the music, the band produced the album themselves.

Junta was originally self-released on cassette tape in May 1989 with packaging created by the band (included in the new vinyl package). The album was remastered and rereleased as a double CD (and cassette) in October 1992. Junta was certified Gold but, until now, has never been heard on vinyl. The vinyl release was created from the original stereo master reels with lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Each LP is pressed onto 180g audiophile grade vinyl and includes a free MP3 download of the entire album (transferred from the new vinyl master).

2,500 of the Junta LE Deluxe 3-LP sets will include a brand new Limited Edition hand-carved, hand-printed linolium block poster by Jim Pollock, created exclusively for this release. These editions will be distributed randomly at participating independently owned record stores across the country, but will be clearly marked.

This LE Deluxe 3-LP vinyl set was created exclusively for Record Store Day. Junta will be available in stores only beginning Saturday, April 21st. For a complete list of participating record stores, please click here.

I like how that promo image of Junta vinyl makes it look like there's six tunes on each side. :?:

Farmhouse on vinyl is $81 right now, auction in one day ... 7 bids.

Jeebus. Nope, I play mine. It was $9.99 when I found it in the mid-90s. I think it was sealed, too! I have Farmhouse on my turntable right now in the bedroom ... but the wife's home from work and sleeping so it was like fuuuuccck.

I'm gonna call N00b Comix soon and ask if I can get special privileges for no real reason. Or if not, a copy of the Phish record. Junta. Vinyl. Coming out. On. Tomorrow. 4.20 > 4.21. Hosemasterflex. Getting up early. Imagine there might be a separation line on the record between Fluffhead & Fluff's Travels. I'm also wondering if side 6 will look just like Joy side 4. And wondering about the labels, and the Contact fade-out ...

Also I have prepared myself for Nectar and Rift, by firmly establishing what I believe should be the layout, so that I can repeat the same frustration come Record Store Day 2014 & '15 or whatever.

So these are my PHiSH records. I guess I'm missing three; Two Soundchecks, Moss Remixes, and the Trey TTE. I'm not exactly on the hunt for any of those, so I'm good with what I've got. Better, even. The Lawn Boy orange sticker says "$9.99" and the ALO is just a flat I grabbed from the record store. If only, right?

Sorry about the lame pic - I rarely take photos, not sure what I could do different honestly. Could have lit the room better, but meh. I had to do this quick before anyone noticed me being a total nerd.
:geek:

Oh, and I took some records out for the second pic, obviously ... that's Horseshoe Curve top left in the second pic.

A copy of Ghost went on ebay for $150 the other night. Should I have gone for that?

Lawn Boy $1211.11 - 20 bids. Still has 3 days left. Hey, at least it's sealed. :?:

:wtf:  :wtf:

I should hope Ghost on vinyl isn't really worth $150!! I mean it's cool and all, but this big money sh!t is ridiculous.

That's how I feel. Had to pass it up. $150 for ONE album is ridiculous.

I feel that way about 2 soundchecks. That's just two tracks. Not even songs. Going for $100. No thanks.

I was able to score 2 soundchecks for $45 (I felt a little guilty for spending that  but had to have it)

That leaves me with Lawn Boy (resigned myself to the fact that I'll have to wait for re-issue) Ghost & Farmhouse left to complete my collection.

ebay is a funny thing. Right now, people are just feeding off this vinyl frenzy. Let the dust settle and prices will drop.

Now if I could only find that Pork Tornado album

ha!

Party Time, to me, got exponentially better once I had the records.

Good luck w/the White Tape ... its ebay prices make me wonder if we'll actually see Junta come down some. Prices on the non-Pollock seem a bit lower. One went for 95.+4 shipping earlier today.

Apparently there are hundreds of Junta vinyl out there which were improperly packed with two side C-D and no side E-F. :?

Shoudn't that mean the reverse is also true? Someone's got extra E-Fs.

:!:

....

:shifty: Mine's okay.

I can't imagine how hard I'd have freaked if I got two record 2s.

I mean I can, .... I just don't enjoy doing it.

I would imagine...

Some people have posted about this - they said they returned to the record store to address the issue, but it's not really the record store's fault. One dude said that the owner of the store contacted the distributor while he waited and apparently they are aware of the situation :?:

How to rectify it, I don't know, being a limited release and all. And think about how many people are not going to open theirs. How would you ever know if your copy has been affected or not.

I know DMB had an issue like this - from what I heard they took all the names and addresses of the people it affected and sent them a replacement disk in just a sleeve.

But this is a whole different animal being a RSD release and everything.
