Hampton Comes Alive

Postby hosemasterflex » Tue Mar 03, 2009 4:44 pm

^hahahaha! Kills me every time.

I listened to Hampton Comes Alive discs 1 - 3 when they announced the shows ... this week I'll listen to 4 - 6. I set out to hear the whole thing back in the fall, but never got around to it.

Hampton Comes Alive

For what it's worth, I like both shows equally. I really don't prefer one show over the other.

Because I was there both nights, it was my first East Coast run, and I really have no idea why. Good stuff though... They're playing on top of their game for sure!

I finally bought a physical copy of this recently and am just now revisiting it for the first time in quite awhile.

Mikes -> Simple is, to me, the best part about this release.

^Ok Ben, turn that Roggae up really loud, sit back and relax. Maybe the best one EVER!

Yeah, that's definitely one of the better moments too. I really love it when Mike does that kind of "waterfall" of notes during the Roggae jam for lack of a better way of describing it. It's one of the more psychedelic sounding things he does, and it's awesome.

^YES! I also love how when Trey starts feeling where he wants the jam to go, he kinda repeats notes and adds a little every time. Eventually culminating in absolute auditory BLISS!!
