Halloween Night 2014

Will they or won't they? What have you heard?

I'm going to go back to Lamb Lies Down on Broadway with Peter Gabriel. He doesn't have any dates scheduled until the middle of November, hence leaving him with the time to get together with Phish to practice up. Plus I heard "Carpet Crawlers" on the radio today, so that means something.

Yeah, the couple times it was mentioned in interviews Trey seemed really excited about the possibility. If they ever do this, I would shit my pants and it would be their greatest Costume set ever.

Now I have the Carpet Crawlers in my head

I read this super quick and thought for a minute that you were going to see Peter Gabriel instead of coming to Vegas ... mentally I started going "Noooooooooo" and then I read the rest of your post and I was like 'Whew!"

LOL!

Haha. I'm going to do everything within my power to be there. It's kind of down to the Phish gods now. I have been listening to The Lamb a lot since making that post and yeah, they're totally playing a lot like that. Just tight with lots of changes....though that's kind of Phish's sound overall I guess.

^ While I am not trying to put you down, they have jammed/teased Shock the Monkey a few times in the past. I think I saw it in a Weekapaug at Deer Creek in '03. So I'm still waiting for that album, ha.

edit- actually, Phish.net is so much improved... I have now seen that those are the only two instances. The more recent one had the addition of vocals.

I think it would be pretty cool if they played the Rift album.

...or anything by The Band.

No cover set......look at the price of the live Phish this year. 3 sets, no cover.

regular show = $9.95
10/31/14 = 11.95 (3 sets of Phish)
10/31/13 = $11.95 (wingsuit, 3 sets of Phish)
10/31/10 = $12.95 (little feat)
10/31/09 = $12.95 (rolling stones)

^ 10/31 = 3 sets of music

the 2014 ??? set is 11.95.

the 2013 "Phish original" set is 11.95.

the 2010 cover album set is 12.95.

Extra dollar goes to paying artist fees.

I have no stat's to back this up, but I think the Utah show where they played Dark Side cost the same amount as other shows where they did not play cover albums, but I could be wrong. I don't think they technically necessarily work an artist royalty into the Halloween shows, but maybe they do, or maybe that's worked into all their shows and they can make the Halloween show a little cheaper this year because they played fewer covers throughout the summer tour than they have historically, hence saving people $1 on that Halloween cover show. Or maybe they'll just play Fuego in it's entirety....

In 2010 they also had a guest musicians to help them play the little feat set. Maybe that had a factor in the price? Wing suit did not have guest musicians, just a thought

This.....the cover album sets were 12.95. This year it's only 11.95, just like last year. Not getting a cover album this year. Page and Trey have both said they pretty much hate doing it.
