I have reservations just because it's new and new software takes a while to get good. Just wondering whether I can trash those reservations, or fortify them.
I updated a few weeks after it was first released.
I had a few issues to overcome, mainly dealing with driver compatibility. Most mainstream manufacturers have gotten the kinks worked out by now. One thing that still isn't fixed is that my laptop doesn't always wake up from sleep just when I open it up, like it used to. Small pain of having to press the power button. Basically gotten over that issue by now.
Honestly, for my needs it isn't that big of a change. I never used a start menu anyway, I just open programs by pressing the windows key followed by typing the name of the program or by clicking on my taskbar.
The best change in my book is in using the multipane view (when you drag a window to the edge and it snaps to fill up a certain portion of the screen). Now windows shows you the other windows you have open to easily choose what window you want to fill the remaining portion of the screen. Pretty nifty.
To summarize, you can probably update now if you want to, but for the time being it really isn't that big of a change. A few small tweaks that are nice overall but not world changing.
