I've uploaded this .gif of a pizza spinning on a turntable.

I know it sounds terribly unimportant. But still, I'd like some help.

I pasted the url into my profile ... sometimes it'll show up, sometimes not. Mostly not.

Anyone?

To change your skin, go into modify profile, then look towards the bottom.
Pick which one you want from the drop down slot and update your profile.
There you go.

Try saving the .gif and then hosting it on a site like photobucket or flicker.
Then copy that url and put it in.
That works for me.

try putting it on http://imageshack.us/
that's what I've always used for hotlinking images. and they have a url button so you can just paste that link.

Yeah man, it's been working on my screen all day. Who knows what that's about, but since the idea is to get one that EVERYONE sees, I've now hosted it at imageshack, which I'd tried before & it wouldn't work; now it works ... this is one f'd up pizza-record.

You can change the height and width.

I think 100 is the max, so you could 76X100. I believe it is in the Modify Profile directly under where you put your avatar in.

did you insert the height and width where Will told you? by default on this forum avatars get resized to about 50 x 50 regardless of their original dimensions.

Ok, so how do I get an avatar on the new and improved site?? I am not seeing anywhere to enter in an address on the profile page. Maybe I am just missing it, but I could use a pointer...

This is a different problem, but I don't want to start a new thread for it.

Hey dudes. I was just trying to put the ol' spinning pizza back into play, but the file's too big. Anyone know a quick way to resize a .gif file? I guess I'll just have the non-spinning version I found instead for now.

And do I need to PM one of you dudes, or can I just ask you right here to put "Sounds Delicious." under my avatar for me?

Thanks a million.

Or maybe I should say, in the spirit of the fest, "Thanks an 8."
