:: :wtf: ::

7 8 & 9 Disney'd

I'm down. After having a brief freakout/protest moment in my mind, I quickly realized I certainly didn't want Lucas to do it.
:shifty:

Sorry George! I'm thinking Disney's gonna rock this as best as can be expected. Let's hope the old cast returns to some capacity, eh?

Personally I think the saga is already ruined. Lucas royally fucked, not only the prequels, but the originals with his "remastering". I'm skeptical that Disney will do anything very different with the 3 sequels. I still think it will be way to much cgi, but hopefully the storytelling will be better. That is our only hope at this point...Never thought I would say Disney is the only hope for Star Wars, but its probably true

I wouldn't want to hear it

Princess Leia is now a Disney Princess!

Tron vs. Bobba Fett

Darth Vader vs. Iron Man

Han Solo and the Guardians of the Galaxy

Captain America and Indiana Jones together at last.

Was i defending the prequels in this thread? I believe i was. Thats embarrassing.

I agree, Disney will probably make really fun theme park related star wars movies. When i first heard a new movie was in the works for 2015 there was a part of me that did a little ditty and pee'd my pants. :shifty:

I’m with the crowd that said it couldn’t get worse. The prequels took a story that couldn’t be screwed up and found a way to screw it up. It’s not like Disney is horrible in everything they do…I can’t imagine they will do worse and maybe they’ll find a way to recapture the magic. I doubt I’ll care that much either way.

I'm kinda sick of Star Wars honestly! I really loved the original trilogy, and I like the prequels a lot. They have a few things I really wince at, but on the whole I feel there's a lot more to celebrate in there than there is to complain about. Unless you really just don't dig on Ian McDiarmid, then well I can't help you with the prequels.

Ultimately though I've just kinda had my fill. I haven't seen a Star Wars film in years, just kind of avoiding it, hoping I'll appreciate it again one day. 2015 maybe. I don't have high expectations ... I probably did for Episode III, but it worked out because really I'm good with that film except for a couple gripes.

The People vs George Lucas is a decent documentary, streaming on the 'flix.

A lot of people have not "passed it on to new generations."

It makes sense given that there hasn't been a good movie on it in 30 years. Folks probably need to let it go.

Hey, I'll always say that the first three Star Wars were awesome. Darth Vader is one of the best villains ever. I just wish they'd "let it go" in a way.

This is the greatest thing ever.

The masterminds behind Star Wars Uncut called on netizens to recreate the entire movie in bite-sized, 15-second installments, and the end result is a crazy creative tapestry of pure Internet Awesomeness.

edit: the R2/jawa capture scene is gold... just... yeah.. this is great.
