Highlights

Runaway Jim - I dig this Jim. Fishman does some cool rolls during the quiet section, the part before Trey strums those chords and they go into the next verse. Solid type 1 jam.

Run Like an Antelope: This Antelope blasts off. At 1:45 they play a theme that reminds me of 14:30-15:00 in the 12/29/94 Bowie. Anyway, after Trey kicks starts the jam with the signature chords, he goes nuts. He’s playing so many notes in between the lick’s normal notes. It sounds like he’s just blazing through the fret board. Next, they find themselves in a very purposeful jam on Pink Floyd’s “Money”, but the Money jam does not slow this Antelope down one bit.

Ya Mar - Trey calls “Play it Leo!!” too early, and some funny Trey banter follows. “Give me an L!”

Mike’s>h2>Weekapaug>Makisupa>Weekapaug - Trey messes around with the intro. Page might be mixing it up to, but I’ll have to listen to Page in other Mike’s. Excellent jam too. For the second part of Mike’s Trey pick’s a great theme, which, to my ears, hints at both Simple and Midnight Rider. Hydrogen contains a tease of “I’ve Got Spurs That Jingle Jangle Jingle”. Weekapaug breaks down into a slow jam that becomes the first Makisupa Policeman since November 26, 1990 (323 shows). Before Makisupa, Trey is playing the same melody that he plays on 3/21/93, at the tail end of MFMF. What is it!!??

^I think I have an old cassette of this show! Or I had one.

Someone put this odd version of Zappa’s “Magic Fingers” as fill on my tape, and it took me years just to figure out what the tune was called. I wish I could find a cleaner copy of this version too, it’s awesome.
