Notes: Birds of a Feather was unfinished. Bowie contained Stash, It’s Ice, Birds of a Feather, Simple, and Ginseng Sullivan teases.

You called that Cities, Will. Too bad it wasn’t one of their best.

Odd night from my perspective. Some songs were ‘meh’ some were kickin. Had to move to the back area of the venue for the second set, as I found the ‘downtown’ area too distracting with people moving back and forth through the crowd constantly throughout the set. Enjoyed the second set playing air guitar unhampered in front a second set of speakers for the rear of the venue. Nice.

“On paper” this looks like a very interesting show. Lots of good song choices and the first set looks very nice.

ALL Tour debuts.

No bitching about repeats plz.

and still no Antelope, YEM, Divided Sky, Fluffhead, Golgi or Bag this summer.

setlist looks sweet! caught most of the end of set2 on stream but it was whack…way too much drunk guy singing along affect. twist jam sounded dece.

feeling whistful/wishin I was in AC today…feel like I could cry   …how was the coil set closer???

It was beautiful. I love it when Page gets melodic, esp for end of Coil. It was musical bliss.
Page’s House, hells yea! He was getting down and funky last night for lots of the tunes.

 yea the best part of the stream was hearing drunk dude sing the melody to sally…

Wishing I was there as well!
Have a blast to all those going tonight and tomorrow

Totally agree Pei Yi.

I did the slower tempo Heavy Things.

Sally Plinko ftw.

Sally may be my favorite jam of the tour so far…could have been sooooo much longer. It was just getting good. :astonished:

Just have to add also that this may be my favorite Bowie ever. Not a huge Bowie fan, but you guys & gals that saw this were fahking LUCKY!!!

Just got around to listening to this show and I think it’s awesome. Good setlist and everything was pretty well executed. I like Sloth as an opener, and they drop lots of funk in the first set. The Tube>Cities>Ice is a great combo and the ever-so-slightly extended funk jam in Tube is the shiz. The Stash is of the mellow, melodic variety, which is very cool. Doesn’t build into a screaming peak but is great nonetheless. I always love Simple and they get to do some really cool shit in the jam, which they do here too. Good segue into Wedge, and Stealing Time and Coil round out the set nicely.

The second set is awesome too, I was a little skeptical looking at it on paper as it seemed as though they played a lot of tunes, but the jamming was really good. Even though the lengths of the jams weren’t very long, I didn’t feel like the end or transitions to the next song were rushed, unlike lots of 2011 jams. I can’t decide whether the Birds->Back on the Train or Twist>Piper>Billy Breathes is the highlight…both sections are awesome. Lots of fun and lots of awesome. The Sally gives one last chance to funk things out before closing with Bowie. I am a HUGE Bowie fan, but I’m in a different camp as Matty. I thought it wasn’t very good, but I know I’m in the minority with the whole “tease” thing…it just seems like a cheap hackneyed trick to me rather than anything very creative. As such I was a little disappointed in the Bowie, though I was encouraged to hear Trey nail the ending guitar sections. Still a great way to end what I think is a great show.

Blasphemy!!!

Tube - We want the Funk Jam.

This whole show is amazing. The second set is extremely smooth! Trey sounds really comfortable in basically every solo, save for one or two spots in Billy Breathes. One of the best Heavy Things ever probably.
