Notes: Phish arranged for this show to be simulcast in dozens of movie theaters across the country. "ASIHTOS" and "Nothing" were played for the first time. "Kung" was dedicated to those competing in the US Open at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, NY. Weekapaug had Trey teasing a faster version of something like Bob Seger's "Main Street."

I saw the simulcast at the licnolnshire theatre. I am not going to lie, I am not the biggest fan of this show. 46 days was big and tastey, 2001 funked my junk and it could have been the longest and funniest kung ever, but other than that …

You no like “Moma -> Free?”

I saw this when they replayed it in theaters in July 2006, and I enjoyed myself immensely. I am not the biggest fan of this show either, but there are parts to like.

I tend to prefer a few AMAZING moments to an overall solid show. I’m just about the peaks. The Moma->Free counts as one of those amazing moments. Absolutely love it.

I can see this reasoning. I am not on board with this personally, but I understand that line of thinking.

This show was what really got me into Phish, to be quite honest. And it still holds a special place in my heart for that reason. I haven’t listened to it in ages though.

Well that explains a lot.

This is a horrible concert if you omit the jam between Moma and Free

Well the actual Free is good too, and I don’t remember specifically (like I said, I haven’t listened to it in forever), but I think it has a good Curtain With too. I remember hearing that song for the first time, not knowing its significance, and it still almost brought a tear to my eye. I’m sure if I went back and listened to it knowing what I know now, it wouldn’t sound as good as it did a few years ago.

Umm, I remeber that 46->possum being quite fantastic, although I haven’t listened to it in a while.

I don’t know. Just picked this one off the wall this morning to listen to on my commute to start the week, and whatever opinion I had before of this show doesn’t matter. I thought everything up to the start of the Moma Dance was pretty decent. A couple of flubs here and there, but they were playing well. Was especially impressed with the Curtain With, although I can’t be a fair evaluator of this song because most times I tune it out. But this one got my attention, and I liked it a lot.

Dunno why I didn’t like this show when I first heard it. I need to disregard my thoughts more often.

Damn, Fishman was great in this show. His participation in the composition of these songs is so essential, and when he’s up and running, strong and motivated, he just makes everything jump. It’s wonderful to see how much love he has for these songs, and how into them he gets sometimes.

Great little hairy beast man.

This of course is the “live in brooklyn” show…just got it (my girlfriend bought it for me out of nowhere) and I was actually pretty impressed. Moma>Free is the highlight for sure, though Suzy is actually pretty damn funky as well…

I’ve never like BOAF, nor have I understood why they went through a phase where they had to play it at every damn show.

They just liked playing it, and who’s to account for even their taste in music. They played TTE quite a bit in 09, to the consternation of many fans. But it helped me grow to like the song.

Just watched disc two, kind of going thru my Phish DVDs. Pretty awesome show, actually. I expected worse based on my memory of the last time I saw it. Divided Sky and Weekapaug manage to totally elude me. Like, I cannot pay attention to that part of the disc for some reason.

I think in 2.0 that the songs were just longer. The jams went on and on. I couldn’t believe how long that disc two took!

I don’t know, I was pretty impressed with this tonight. And it conflicts with my previous impression of the DVD … enough to rethink drugs altogether.

j/k , but then no seriously. Maybe I just need to spin Coventry.
