Encore: I Am the Walrus

Notes: Happy Birthday was played for Phish tour manager Richard Glasgow. I Am the Walrus was played for the first time since June 29, 2010 (229 shows).

Beautiful day in the city. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Gamecat and Willbreathes.

The show was everything I wanted and so much more.

First set highlights : I Didn’t Know (Banter), Cavern (Fish “solo” ), Divided Sky (Possibly my favorite song ever written ) and Good Times Bad Times.

There are no highlights in the second set. Rather, it was one great big party from the word go. Check it out for yourself. I cannot do it justice.

^ Sorry it was such a short meeting, but it was great to put a face to the name.
Hope to see you again.
Got to see Will for a bit in the afternoon and got to sit and talk with Clark Griswold for awhile pre show.
Great to see you guys as always. Sorry I missed seeing ya Phishinsky

This was my favorite of the 2 nights at my baseball mecca.
A little warm during the day, but it really turned into a beautiful night.

Moma and Bag really got the party started. 555 is probably my favorite of the “new” tunes so I don’t mind that. Kinda slowed down until 46 days got it back going. Fishman busts out the vacuum in I Didn’t Know
Divided Sky is always nice to hear and Trey sounded great.
Cavern > Good Times put us all in our place for set-break. :sunglasses:

Second set is where it’s at.
Carini> Tweezer > Fluffhead
Really great party at wrigley during that little trinity.
Fluff was a treat for sure, but all three back to back was really sweet.
Piper never really took off for me, but it was nice to hear Steam.
Really like that song for some reason. Page gave us a little love with Wading, before we got some Hood.
Some nice moments in Hood as always but I would have liked them to just play out the rest of the set with that one. No big deal though, the best 2 minutes of music in Tweezer Reprise brought it home.
God I love when they end a show with that song. Just a rager.
I am the Walrus came out of nowhere and put a smile on damn everyone’s face, including the ushers.

Throw in a “Go Cubs Go” over the speakers as the walkout music and you couldn’t have asked for more.
Crazy fun weekend in Chicago.
