Phish must really like playing Velvet Underground songs at Merriweather for some reason.

i almost shit my pants when i saw that they played ‘in the aeroplane over the sea’ last night. one of my favorites songs and albums of all-time. and they did a great job playing it.

This show drove me nuts. It was almost the exact same setlist as last years Merriweather show. I was fairly bored throughout (I think because of the previous night’s show and lack of sleep), but the Tweezer and Tweezer Repise were excellent.

Forgot to mention I met a guy about Trey’s age last night who was at his first Phish show, however he was singing along to a lot of songs so he obviously knew the band. He told me he grew up in Syracuse, NY and as a child he swam at the same Jewish swim club as Fishman for a few years. He thought they were probably around 12 years old. He then told me “I don’t mean anything by this, but Jon was kinda the kid that everyone made fun of…and look at him now. He’s awesome.” I laughed a little, but also was a little sad for late 70’s little kid Fishman.

What a great weekend! Here are some shots i took from the front row with Pei-Yi.

This thread is fucked up…

^wow awesome shots keith

actually… wait a minute… on the side of the posting… white square place we write in to post… it says “BBcode is OFF”. Who turned the damn BBcode off?? Where are my pedosmiles dammit!? I think the code is what allows us to post pics and italics etc… harumph.

edit- I guess BBC code is on for some of us :silent:

I think they played Good Times Bad Times for G2K, :wtf:

^Haha, Trey did say it was for Neil

this was probably the weakest Phish show I’ve ever been to, I was so bored during the first set.

and, is it normal for there to be police helicopters circling overhead at MPP?

even though the next night blows it out of the water, I enjoyed this show just fine, but I guess we were partyin pretty hard too that night. One of the best Tweezer jams I’ve seen…Fast Enough and Wolfman’s were really good 2nd set.

Yea Keith and I had a blast up front; can’t complain about the awesome Lotto PTBM. Thanks to my good friend Jesse, who ‘won’ the lotto this time 'round.

i LOVE the 46 days. rock and rol trey rules…

Wasn’t there, but just listened for the first time through, and it had a couple of highlights but overall I found it meh.

And the last time I was at MPP, there were helicopters overhead, so maybe it is normal.
