Summer '95! Right?
Fuck…this Free is like floating in a blimp a lot. I love how that song just started out as a huge jam vehicle…I guess it kind of always was, but some of the best Free’s are the '95 ones IMO. I can’t imagine what people must have thought of a show like this back then. I don’t even know what people would think of a show like this now…I know I’m kind of burned out on Free and YEM and ADITL isn’t the most exciting closer, but these songs were either new (Free, Theme, Taste) or hitting incredible peaks (Bowie, YEM, Jim, and especially Summer '95 Tweezers). I’ve gotta say, if I could go back in time and just do one Phish tour this would probably be the one. But anyway, this show is great and full of all that jamming that you kids seem to like so much, so check it out.
Damn straight Devin. Summer 95 is one of the best. The Runaway Jim and Taste get things off to a nice raging start and the SOAM is one of the best of the tour. The second set Free->Bowie is just the bees knees. EVERY Bowie from this tour is just out of this world and they should all be heard.
