First show with new stage set-up. Set-break music was Marc Ribot Y Los Cubanos Postizos. *“Bathtub Gin” teases by Trey; ends with each band member playing a short theme. **Trey on small keyboard for outro.

A fun tour opener, with nothing going too far out there. Gin is a fantastic opener, pretty standard up to an interesting Get Back on the Train. The band definitely having fun with Maze, and excellent Gin teasing by Trey. Second set Coil opener really makes the crowd pop, and the Birds of a Feather had a really tight upbeat jam. The Piper, Bug>My Left Toe is the most drawn out moment of the night, but I wouldn’t say the best. Rest of the show is pretty standard.

Average show, nothing really worth keeping from here.

My least favorite encore.

I was in the front row for this show and had my first meeting with Mr. Greg down there. Didn’t really know it was him just thought he was some dude that did far too much blow. Which he is. Anyway There was a heavy rainstorm and the pavillion is all cement so all of the water rushed down into the first few rows. We were ankle-deep in water through the first set. So the Bathtub Gin felt like an appropriate opener. The first set was pretty standard but a lot of fun and being so close could tell they were just jazzed to be back on stage together after over six months off. I LOVED the debut of Back on the Train in this set though.

I actually really enjoy listening to this second set. I like the rare occasions when Coil has a nice little jam at the end in lieu of a page solo. The whole set is pretty mellow so if you’re into the tension-and-release Phish this is not the set to check out. But if i’m in the right mood this set is pretty. The Stash to close the set is pretty :wtf: too.

The Encore sucks balls.
