Got into the lot real early, solid meetup with crew, tons of food, other consumed items, PLENTY of hot sun, and nothing really standing in the way of a good time.
But there was this couple gyrating in the way, for much of set two. No kidding. In the show, everyone went to their respective spots, but my wife & me just grabbed a lawn spot in the middle … sound sucked and the crowd around us was just goin nuts. Doin lines off a smartphone. A couple practically doin it right in front of us. Plenty of laughing and running and flirting and talking by the very much younger crowd … Makes me wish I’d fought for pavillion seats a little, but then she’s a little claustrophobic and we both kinda like that lawn.
So I gotta relisten, because that was my experience. Just downloaded the show last night. But I really loved the first set. Surprising how much time was elapsing between songs. I was particularly happy to get so much Fuego stuff live, all tunes I really like too. Plus I was glad they opened with Stealing Time. They opened the '09 show w/Stealing Time there too.
Caught parts of a stream (mainly Hood). Liked wha I heard then and it held up on relisten. Exciting to see Hood get jammed especially after the Hollyhood last year!
Don’t judge the jams by their time. Stash, Ghost, and weekapaug are all good despite their relatively short lengths.
