This show starts off kind of slow, but from DWD on is much more adventurous than the previous night. The mid-first set DWD gets exceptionally spacey and contains the early workings of the more ambient sound they would take on for the rest of the year. Fish comes back in with a nice beat for the last few minutes and they segue nicely into a Dog Faced Boy that is akin to the Spectrum '97 version. Both are very cool. Then a nice slow transition into Piper.

The second set Tweezer->2001 is a monster, the two of them combining for over 40 minutes of mostly improv. The Tweezer doesn’t take as many twists and turns as one would expect for such a lengthy jam, but rather three of them completely lock in to a groove while the other slowly steers the rest of the band in a different direction. It’s pretty cool. Overall it’s a pretty good show, but the Tweezer->2001 would prob be the only thing I would consider a ‘must hear’.
