Sand->Golden Age!

That mother fucker got juicy!

Solid Fluffhead and Antelope too (even though Trey came into the Antelope a bit early, which was actually kind of hilarious)

Didn’t really get into it til Mike’s Groove but Happiness was cool to hear.

Couch Tour FTW

:open_mouth:

Best segue/jam of the year award: Sand -> Golden Age

Worst/most forced segue of the year: Wolfmans ] Walk Away

I’m using ] instead of > now for those kinds of segues. Man, that jam was just getting going, and going good, then Trey just completely derails the motherfucker. Either way, really solid show. 1st set kind of fizzled after Ya Mar, but 2nd set was money through and through. Go Phish!

Flizzum Flazzum! This was a great show! Seemed to be lacking something though…

Welcome back Wolfmans to the we second set, where it belongs.

The reactions of me and everyone around me after Golden Age were absolutely priceless. A feeling of “Wow, Phish still bring it like they always have.” That was the jam highlight of the show for sure. Chalkdust felt like it was about to go places (sort of like AC). It felt like an above average show from what I’m used to seeing. The two bustouts were really special IMO, mainly cause I really like those songs I guess. I even really liked Joy and Backwards Down the Number Line. One of my favorite first sets I’ve seen. Second set didn’t let up either. Page’s solo during Fluffhead was really cool and different. Antelope had some major tonality soloing from Trey which was really nice. Great Antelope. Great show. Listen for yourself.

I’ve been calling for skin it back this whole tour! what a bustout! lost my shit when this started. it was also the biggest bustout in the history of the band, beating FYF by 6 shows. Great show i thought. tweez thru walk away was great. the most ripping walk away, like ever. honestly liked this show better than the fourth i think. they were both great tho

^haha, wasnt tweezer on the 4th?

oops meant to say sand lol

Loved walkway, one of my favorites lately. Love the ending buildup, like tweeprise pt II …

Great walk away…I was saying the same thing about it having a tweeprise build up at the end.

Yeah the jam has the same chords as tweeprise. trey has really been killing the jam lately

I really hope they actually keep Skin it Back in the rotation and not just a random bust out. It’s a far better tune for them than the ones they usually break out and has a nice jam. And I’m kind of getting to the point where I feel le all these bust outs are like ‘jumping the shark’. If they ever play gamehenge again they’ll have gone too far IMO.

Other than skin it back though the only thing else i really got out of the first set is the Jesus Left Chicago. Love love love the page and trey blues solos as well as page’s blues vox. The Mike’s have had more energy thus tour tho too.

The second set is great, the highlight force being (obv) the Sand>golden Age and the antelope. Though they made a rough start of it I felt like the trey solo was great…the way it’s supposed t be played. Overall I’d call it a good show.

I’ve heard Skin It Back played at a few Mike’s shows, so I’m sure it’s a ‘Mike push’ to play it. Love Mike’s experimental improv styles… and his awesome bass bombs

Jesus, Walkaway, Antelope

This could be one of the most overlooked shows of 2012!

And, of course, Golden Age. But you already know how awesome that version is.

^Don’t know this show at all but listened to just the Antelope and concur based on it alone.

Trey was really pleased when he ended the jam and was probably the reason he got playful with the Marco/Mike-O tease. Great performance for sure.
