So I must say, while these Sugarbush shows are definitely “epic”, as the kids would say, they are not as good as some of the shows from the week before. I had these shows on tape and played the shit out of them. I like the early first set Antelope and the Maze is good in the first set, but the rest of that set just kind of sounds tired. The second set is amazing though. Obviously the Timber Ho (one of my fav tunes)>Bowie->JBG->Bowie is just tops. Especially the Bowie section after JBG. But after that the rest of the set just kind of falls flat IMO. Still a great great show, but as Summer 95 is one of my favorite tours, I’d say the Mann->JB run was the peak. One of the best weeks in Phish history for sure.

During the encore, there was a crazy head who climbed the chair lift tower and hung from a chair lift while shooting a roman candle…

or it was the acid.

either way it was nutzballscrotumz.

I love this Timber.

THese shows were epic because they were one of the best Phish scenes ever. Sugarbush let us camp in our parking spots and it was a great end of tour rager… I do remember thinking the shows were a bit of a let down but the vibe more than made up for that. Not to mention the fact it was hard to top some of the shows earlier in the tour.

Also it should be noted this was the last Phish show before Jerry died. Everything changed from then on. Some things for good some for bad…

^there some truth here… that last weekend in VT was sumthin

agreed.

Anyway David Bowie. yeah, had the tapes of these shows shortly after and played and played and played… god i loved the timber bowie. there were a few deadheads behind me and during that jbg i turned to see what they thought of the phish rendition of the ol dead staple… their mouths were hanging down around their knees  the intro to this bowie’s got snap, the echoing vocals, and when they drop out of the composition its just so damn … :open_mouth:
