just listened to this fee this morning. pure bliss

I have not heard this show since attending it. Charlotte either for that matter.

Julius is a nice opener, and a very extended Fee is pure bliss. I would almost call this a “Jam”, as it doesn’t have a whole lot to do with Fee other than extending from it. Guyute picks up the pace nicely, and Stash gets out to some very weird territory. The Cavern to close off the set is full of energy, and nicely placed.

This second set is damn near perfect, and possibly the best set of 99 to this point. Birds is really exciting and gets very weird towards the end as If I Only Had a Brain pushes its way into the jam. Prince Caspian is unbelievable, with what I would describe as a very stoned jam that led the unfinished version smashing into Jesus Just Left Chicago. Another great jam, Trey is really dominating this set, but Page brings it right back to his side as the song catches back up. I Saw It Again, Sleep, and Meatstick are all very well performed, and entertaining, without going too far out. The Tube > Simple is one of the strongest moments of the set. Tube is definitely extended into a lengthy jam, and the Page solo outro to Simple is simply divine.

Enjoyable encore with the Love You, and a rocking Character Zero. Really can’t go wrong with this show. The Fee probably gets the most press, but the second set is the meat and potatoes for me.
