Good show

NML>WeeKaPaug was $$$$

NML def has a dancing in the streets sound

I think Blaze on will be a fun 1st set song

I’ve started listening to this Tour Opener in my car during my commute to/from work.

Currently I’m on Fuego.

There were some embarrassing Trey flubs, notably on Horn & Wedge. Significant enough for me to make my ‘WTF?’ face. As in, ‘WTF, were the practice sessions prior to Tour only focusing on new tunes?’

Blaze On is the only new tune I’ve listened to and I’m not a fan of the current version / iteration. Maybe with time the tune will sound less like they are trying too hard to write songs. Also, maybe I will like it more when heard live.

OK first set, pretty strong up to Horn which could have used some work.

Love the second set and encore though. They Attack! ha brought about a new life for Birds of a Feather. No Men In No Mans Land may be song of the show… and the Weekapaug > Boogie On > Chalkdust was a fantastic finisher. Plus, an out of right field choice for encore… got to love it.

All this bitchin about Horn, and I finally heard it, and I was like, hey that could have been way worse. I learned Horn once and I don’t know how he keeps it straight. The passages aren’t like, really fast or anything, but you can’t lose your place.

And I thought Blaze On was a top shelf song, for 3.0 Phish. Out of all of these new tunes, that’s the air-tight one, to me. I’d rather complain about a different one, when it’s complaining time.

So stoked to see new tunes showing up; that’s like, hey Phish is totally alive & well, they’re bringin the new tunes. I get bored easily.

I just expect my favorite band to be perfect and not make mistakes. Hence, every audible mistake is cringe-worthy.

We each have different standards that we’d like our favorite band to adhere to, and perhaps mine is a bit harsher than others.

Yeah, that ~8 second stretch of Horn where Trey misses a couple notes really ruins the show. :unamused:

I don’t believe whatsoever it ruined the show.

It was the first fault, after a really solid opening to Summer 2015. An interesting point to me, rather than a criticism.

I’m just saying, if that’s what Trey fucking up sounds like right now, then it’s good times. I thought it was a decent enough recovery.
