I was there.

Not one of my top shows, and certainly a let down through the eyes of a regular Charlotte attendee. They usually slay.

Highlights:
Mike’s>BOTT>Weekapaug opener
Bowie and Golgi
Improv during Chalkdust, Fuego, and Twist

Lowlights:
Winterqueen. I turned to my buddy a few minutes into the song, after watching people POUR out of the pavilion to go do what they do and said “Well, I guess everyone officially hates this fucking song.” It’s a huge energy zapper. Waiting All Night, which is one of my favorite new tunes, just came at an odd part of the second set, and I was hoping they’d take it to outer-space.

All in all it just seemed like the energy wasn’t really there, which is odd since Charlotte usually delivers. But still a fun show and good crowd.

^Took the words right outta my mouth. I went to a show I probably shouldn’t have (financially) expecting the typical Charlotte heat and left a little disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, they were tight and I enjoyed the Tube, Reba, Golgi, My friend My friend, and When the Circus Comes to Town as well as my daughter’s namesake, Piper. All in all though, I never once thought “Wow” as I usually do at least once during a mediocre show. We weren’t expecting the lot to be dry for tix and the box office line was RIDICULOUSLY long, so we didn’t even get inside until Wingsuit :frowning: Looks like we missed the best part of the show. All that aside, I really enjoyed my evening and had a great time with my little rager who was attending her 3rd show
