Anybody got a problem with this show?

Not me, boss! I haven’t even heard it and I already love it.

I fell asleep at the first Free

Woke up at 3:30

Damn kids :smiling_imp:

This might be the first setlist Jawbone has created this tour that justifies his use of the ‘>’ all over the second set. :smiling_imp:

Really looking forward to hearing how they pulled this off. First set looks great too and, correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this is only the second YEM of the tour (SPAC).

Yes, 2nd YEM and I was lucky enough to catch both!

Had a personal first on a tune that wasn’t a Phish debut in a long long time (Jennifer Dances, LOL).

What a show! Kinda stuff that makes me love live Phish! Great times!

holy shit. Just realized they “did” Jennifer Dances. I had no idea what you meant by ^that when I first glanced thru the setlist. LOL. I can’t believe that this show looks so hot because of the Jennifer Dances, hahaha!!

Hey how’s the YEM?

Teases from Phish.net

· Flash Light tease in You Enjoy Myself
· Back on the Train and Manteca teases in Tweezer
· Under Pressure tease in NICU
· Tweezer tease in I Been Around
· Jennifer Dances quote in Hold Your Head Up
· Magilla tease in Simple

I definitely heard the Flash Light tease in YEM. Gordo does that one a lot. I also thought I heard a Herbie Hancock tease from Gordo at the same time; it was either Palm Grease or Chameleon.

I’ve given this two chances and I have to say I’m not drinking the Kool-aid here. Yeah it’s good and all and it would have been a fun show to be at, but there’s really nothing that awe-inspiring to me in the 2nd set. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they’re still pulling shit like this and having a blast onstage, but it’s almost like a cheap party trick unless they’re going to bring the fire with it (see 8/31/2012), which they didn’t IMO. I was really excited to listen to the show but was a bit let down. The show was instantly overrated I guess is all I’m trying to say.

Def have to agree with you. The main jam portion of Tweezer (segment prior to Waiting All Night) is quite good. The Slave doesn’t have a slow buildup but produces a solid climax as well. Beyond that, the second set seems like a fun show to attend but just doesn’t translate to audio. Fee, Curtain With, Fuego and YEM are the highlights from this show. But, as you said, it’s great that they’re still doing stuff like this every once in a while. From the LP video feed a couple posts up you can tell they’re all having a blast playing this second set, which is what really matters.

I agree. Kind of reminds me a bit of when they played all those Zeppelin tunes on 10/30/10. Though fun and enjoyable to listen to, probably not a set that will be a staple in my listening rotation. Really great to see them having so much fun on stage. Trey’s face during HYHU is priceless.

^ That is awesome

I like Free ->Tweezer -> Simple -> Tweezer -> Free

Sounds perfect to me
