#Different verse than the first time. ##With lyrics about meat, cheese, “if you want to stay a vegetarian…eat the placenta”; Fish mentions “pussy,” and everyone else stops the sound check immediately. *With Fish on vacuum. **Ending similar to “Black-Eyed Katy” (about 1 minute). ^“Mexican Love Style”; Trey met two people yesterday who had fallen in love, and dedicated it to them. ^^Cut short before the song was reprised, and went into “You Enjoy Myself.”

This might be my favorite show of the summer tour. Not counting LW.

If it’s not, at the very least, it’s top-3.

My favorite version of “Contact” and a hot “YEM” to close the 2nd set.

I loved this show.
My first time actually traveling far for anything(compared to Assembly Hall 11.18.97).

oops… correction: 11.19.97

Hm…I think this show is kind of weak actually. Sorry. Though, I guess if they’re going to play a show almost completely devoid of creative playing, this is the way to do it. The song selection is fantastic, but during an era where at least some sort of type 2 jamming is expected this show just falls a little flat for me. There’s a few minutes of saving grace in the Sally jam and in the YEM to close the show (which is a stellar version), but every time I listen to this show by the time I get to the YEM I think “too little, too late”.

But again if you’re into bustouts and seeing/hearing rare tunes this show is tops…Emotional Rescue, Tela, Sally, It’s Ice (during a period when this song had become quite rare), Lengthwise, Brother, Camel Walk…all really cool tunes.

In the course of the tour and era it was a throwback show. Welcomed and embraced by those on tour but maybe not by someone just seeing one show that summer craving JAMS!

Emotional Rescue opener? Yes please!

I miss my office job where I could stream shows on their anniversary all day. :shifty:

^ who dat?
