“Set 4”: The Tower Jam#

  • with whistling; **Trey: “we’d like to honor that request” (referring to loud crowd chant for the song), and sung with Japanese lyrics; ^ with ambient jam; ^^ with Seven Below teases. #An all-improvised (and unannounced, though heavily rumored) set from the roof of the old air-traffic control tower, taking place about 2-3am, with special lighting by Chris Kuroda. Featured many teases, accompanied by dancers on rappel lines down the tower’s sides. Thanks to Cody Schibi, Allan Morris, and PhantasyTour for the info.

I really like these two shows. Not perfect in the compositional aspect of it, but the jamming more than makes up for it. The encore and tower jam are especially awesome.

^ Agreed. IT Jamming was overall pretty sick. Even the Soundcheck is a treat!

I wouldn’t think it’d be too preposterous to say that there hasn’t been a show this jammy since…

R&R/7below/Scents is so soo soooo very sick. It’s been way too long since I’ve heard that set.

If they had just put something else in place of “Spread it 'Round,” that third set could easily be my favorite of 2.0 Phish.
