stream was actually excellent, pretty sure I could hear everything someone at the show did.

believe that.

yeah, or maybe if you had some sort of clue wtf you were talking about

What the hell is your problem dude? There’s many thing’s I’d like to say, but I still stand by my previous words. I liked the segue from Seven Below->Weekapaug and I thought it was a great fucking show. And almost everybody I ran into Saturday night thought Friday night was really sweet too.

alright fellas , youve each said your peace.

how embarassing would it be if a mod locked a show discussion!?

You know what, I’m sorry about my last post. It was a little edgy. I should have just said that I felt like your comments were disrespectful. I would have explained my confusing first post as well as I realized the way I wrote it was sort of confusing. But I felt that you weren’t going to respect it anyways.

For anybody who cared, I’ll clarify. I thought the order of the songs made for a ‘nice flow’ the way things were juxtaposed to each other. I liked the way 7 Below went into Weekapaug. There were some sloppy transitions, but almost none of their 3.0 transitions/segues have been very good.

I don’t expect everybody to agree with my opinions, but please don’t insult me because they’re different than yours.

Balee dat

Cities > Moma Dance was phenomenal.

That is about all I have to say, other than it was a good show.

Just a heads up! The Mike’s Jam > Simple is up on the Phish site videos section. Check it out!

listen to this Show of Life on its own.

it sounds like something from somebody’s greatest hits album

…and you all are taking it for granted. :lolno:

^It definitely sounds like somebody’s greatest hits…

…just not Phish’s.

harold hood needs to relax.

After all the talk about the Mike’s Song segue, I didn’t think it was all that horrible. It’s a miscommunication to be sure. And, I’ll admit that it sounds partly like a Trey-ADHD thing. But, Page definitey crashes in off beat. Similarly, the Seven below segue is going well until everyone drops out all awkwardly. It would have worked beautifully if they had just skipped the bass solo.

Anyway, the Cities, Rock&Roll>Ghost, and, most of all, the Simple should be enough to give this show some credit. They went for it. And, while it caused a few flubs, it also resulted in some fantastic music.

I got fucking served at this show. Hard. Fucking hard. Fuck.

But seriously, Cities through Stealing Time was some of the most fun I have ever had at a show. Cities has to be the definitive 3.0 version thus far, and everyone there knew it. People were getting DOWN, I mean big time. Full on knees above the shoulder ragin’. ( youtube.com/watch?v=cDcNbfYy4Jk& )

Second set could have been close to perfect if it wasn’t for the poorly placed Show of Life. There was so much flow going on and then it sort of hit a wall. I just sat and laughed my ass off the entire song. But I shouldn’t be worrying about that considering what had happened during the SIMPLE!

There was a lot of shit that happened this night that made the whole trip out west worth it. Sitting in line chilling with all the poster people, “Page sang It’s Ice to me!”, Scratchy and her dog Fluffhead, the (human) shit on the sidewalk, all the crazy things that happened at the hotel, watching the sketchiest of the sketch events go down in the streets of San Fran, the after party with Fishman and Cactus, the broken door, I really could go on, and on.

Ride your treadmill, paint your pictures, and cook your George Foreman fried egg sammiches.

I thought this was obvious, but there is a difference between listening to a show from home and actually being there to experience the lights, people, mood, band energy, etc.\

a large difference

I’m sure a few of your personal favorite attended shows could be nit-picked as well.

You should have seen the look on Page’s face when Trey just totally ended the awesome jam that was evolving and jammed Mike’s Song down everyone’s throats. That fucking Mike lick came out of Trey’s guitar and I think Page was thinking the same thing I was… “I’m going to come over there and rip that fucking guitar right out of your hand.”

I just had my mind blown.

“It’s Ice” is an anagram for “Cities”

whoa

especially if the city owns something.

DRY ICE FACTORY!?
