This Curtain->Tweez is really sweet

This show, like the first two from this run, rages. I like the setlist in the first set, no outstanding versions of anything but the Red Rocks energy was still there.

This Cutrain->Tweezer is great, one of my favorite pre-cow funk Tweezers. This one goes everywhere it needs to go and wraps up old-school Tweezer style. Love it. The rearrangement of Prince Caspian for the summer 96 tour made the tune a million times better. I always felt bringing it out for the Fall 95 tour was a bit premature because it was just a 3 minute tune with a pleasant melody but nothing ever ‘happened’ with the song. These new versions feature soaring Waste-esque guitar solos and are much more exciting. That’s one of the things I love about Phish though…they often let things develop and evolve onstage rather than sticking to a studio-derived version.

I love listening to this Hood. Granted, I am kind of burnt out on the Hood chant and miss the accented note that used to be featured there, but when I listen to this I’m reminded of how awesome the whole Phish experience can be. The crowd is SO loud for the Hood chant here and you can just hear the smile in Trey’s voice, it’s quite awesome. I also feel like they repay the crowd by playing an awesome Hood with a raging peak before the end. Great show.

That Harry Hood scared the shit out of me.

I was “feeling” great during this show and somehow forgot about the flier that was passed out before the show. That Hood chant was so fucking loud. Every single person yelled that at Red Rock except me I think. :laughing: I literally jumped from being so shocked. My friend even asked if I was ok.
The look on Trey’s face was priceless though.
The chant has never sounded as good as that first one.

As D & Hankster state above, the Curtain->Tweezer is glorious. :thumbup:
