Alpine Valley Music Theatre, East Troy, WI

Set 1: No Men In No Man’s Land, Stealing Time From the Faulty Plan, Poor Heart, Julius, Frankie Says > Maze, Mercury, Reba, Possum

Set 2: Down with Disease > Halley’s Comet -> Twist > Light > What’s the Use? > Fuego > Backwards Down the Number Line > Slave to the Traffic Light

Encore: Meatstick > Character Zero

Kind of a low energy show sandwiched between two crazy-go-nuts shows. I was beat for this one, having sufficiently raged the night before at Blossom. I haven’t gone back and listened to it yet, but from what I remember Light > What’s the Use was really good. Mercury has potential, but still needs a lot of work.

This show marked my 10,000th DWD & Slave.

^Twas Good to meet up with you.

I really liked this first set. Julius, Frankie says> Maze and Reba were really good. Mercury is still one TBD.

The second set as was mentioned, Light<What’s the use was pure bliss,. Awesome.

And I will take a Meatstick anytime

Really need to go back and listen to this show, As it was in the middle of two barn burners and if you were on tour since Tusc/Nash you were kind of beat at this point. In the end it will prob be a good show with some highlights, but kind of a off night as expected.

^ first, it was great meeting you as well.

Second, I finally got around to listening to this show again, and I have to take back a few things. 1) I must have been more tired than I thought, because the second set was anything but low energy. 2) DWD>Halley’s Comet> Twist was awesome. They might have killed DWD and Halley’s a bit too soon, but they were still really strong. The segue into Twist was like butter.

I also realized what is off about Mercury. The marimba lumina section hurts the flow of the tune. Especially when it wraps up and Trey and Mike have to fill space waiting for Fish to get back behind the set.
