This show is the bizness right here. The second ever type II’d Gumbo is fucking sick and I can’t imagine a better way to round off a nice funk jam than to segue into Lizards. It’s Ice gets dusted off for the first time in 44 shows shortly afterward and has a REALLY cool unique spacey jam in it. My only criticism of the first set is that it’s a little short.
This second set rocks. Maybe it’s one that sounds a lot better than it looks? The Wolfman’s->Free is a tour highlight for sure, then the Limb by Limb gets to some really cool places. Loving Cup keeps getting more play time during this tour and Trey keeps eating up the guitar solos. This Chalk Dust to close the set just explodes with energy. They are completely locked in on this one. I dig the encore too as I love the blues. Good shit right here.
