^You muss be outcho mind!
:wtf:

I am!

There weren’t a bunch of trainwrecks in the first set. PYITE was a trainwreck. I admit I was a bit worried for a minute, but the second set eased my worries. I was almost rooting for Trey like he was Peyton Manning or something. “Take your time” “You can Do it”

As far as the show this second set is my favorite set of Phish 3.0 that I’ve witnessed. The Drowned>Jibboo–>Gin was beautiful to start the set. Trey was patient in the segue from Jibboo into Gin. Beautiful stuff here. A fun MFMF throw in a Buffalo Bill and you got a hot start to the set.

Then Twist was a nice rockin version and I always enjoy a Horse>Silent. One of the better Splits of 3.0 followed. This one got a bit out there and was unfinished into Dog Faced Boy. The Hood Golgi combo to close the set was fantastic!

Then the encore. Are you kidding me? The return of the megaphone!!! It’s just awesome to see the boys having fun. Trey waving the megaphone around and Mike nailing the fight bell…“You’re getting drowsy” “Kung”

Maybe it was the songs that I prefer or whatnot, but 8/12/10 Set 2 is a dream setlist for me!

:wtf:

I just listened to the entire song, and it most certainly is not a trainwreck. Trey fucked up once singing that verse in the wrong spot or something, and he briefly forgot to play that last riff, but who cares? He nailed every note in the Landlady section and in the rest of the song. In fact, there were no “Treynwrecks” anywhere in that show that I heard.

Dude you might want to relisten to that one again. They had major issues ending the song.

Anyways that’s the only thing negative I said about the entire show and you point it out. I loved this show. Hands down the second set + encore is my favorite portion of 3.0 that I have personally witnessed.

I was responding to Brad’s post above about the “treynwrecks.”

Man seriously don’t be so sensitive. I am not attacking you; I am not out to get you. I just do not think that the PYITE was a trainwreck, and neither did my friends who were sitting there listening to it with me after I read the post that said that song was a trainwreck. We don’t think it was. Nothing against you.

Not to call anyone out or anything…

…but how can one person call a set a trainwreck and another person not? This isn’t subjective, it’s objective. Either it was a trainwreck or not (a trainwreck as defined by the flubbing of notes and singing of wrong verses).

I believe that’s why there was the fancy spelling of “treynwreck”! ;o)

And, just for the record, opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one, and everyone else’s stinks!

I can’t quote or post emoticons because I’m not a mod, but dude I’m not taking it personally at all. Why would I think you’re out to get me? I’m just saying. If you think that PYITE was solid then well that’s your opinion. Are you a fan of the Fox Slave?

Wait you can’t quote or post emoticons?

:wtf:

I haven’t heard it. Considering that the playing at the Fox was generally considered to be somewhat sub-par, I would assume it wasn’t a very good version maybe? What I’m trying to say is that I don’t think there is anything about the Deer Creek PYITE that would make it a bad version.

And you don’t have to be a mod to quote or post emoticons.

^So how do you quote or post pics and emos here??

My BBcode is OFF??

Well I just tried looking through the Administrative Control Panel and the Mod Control Panel, and I can’t figure out how to turn on your BBcode. I don’t know why it would be off. Seems like something only Ian, or maybe Glenn, could fix. I know mods aren’t the only people that can post them though. I’ve seen other people post these things:  :silent:  Aren’t those emoticons?

Someone should fix Show Discussion, I have access to nothing (images, edits, code, etc)…

My 50th! I liked this show a lot!! Pretty cool getting your 1st DFB on a watershed date. The unfinished n2o was nice too. Got 1 on my b-day as well!!

So i just listened to the PYITE. Its certainly not the most solid version. And on the last trey solo i cant tell if its rough at the begining because of Fishman or Trey but they messed that up. I’ve heard better and ive heard worse.

Better than the last PYITE I got in Deer Creek back in '03 - that’s for sure

Bad as it may or may not be, it’s nowhere near the Rosemont 03 version. Whew.

:eh:

I also enjoyed Thursday more than Friday.

2nd set had me jumping 3.5 ft. high and spinning 360’s the whole time.

Twist had me whirling. I almost fell a couple times.

I think Trey pulled out the megaphone to make fun of the megaphone-ticket-security-box-office fucks who kept saying (through megaphones) “If you guys don’t get into a single file line this instant, we are going to stop selling tickets!”

haha

Yeah this is most definitely my favorite second set i have ever witnessed any band play. The first set was pretty solid until TTE. Its not even like i hate this song or anything, but it just gets such little crowd response its just boring for me. I loved the Cars Trucks Buses, and loved how Trey threw a solo on the end. Did he start doing this PH or is this new? Great Roggae. Basically everything in the first set is on point except the Punch was a little shaky.

But man this second set. Great version of Drowned opens it and drops into jiboo after about 14 or 15 minutes. But man this Jiboo -> Gin while short was some of the most high energy blissful music i have ever experienced. Then they lit the fuse with MFMF, and that place certainly did explode. Then comes the real meat of the set. Buffalo bill > Twist > Horse > Silent > Melt -> Dog Faced Boy. Wow. This Twist is some of the tightest jamming i’ve heard live from these guys so far, they rocked the shit. Then it was nice to hear my first Horse > Silent. Then Fishman dropped that beat i was expecting at some point that weekend but never expected it at that time. The jam gets pretty out there and then fades decently into DFB, which i was happy to see again. Then i was thinking one more short song then encore break, but fish dropped that Hood drumroll. Very very tight version of hood with great interplay. Then Golgi to bring the set to a high energy close. WOWEE WHAT A SET.

The encore! Best encore i’ve seen them play by far. Fee with megaphone and then NO2->Kung with trey doing the windmill with megaphone and kuroda spinning his lights to match. At this point i was feelin a little drowsy haha. Then a SICK Fire with cactus solo to close the show wow.

First timers… Roggae, CTB, Horn, Sugar shack, Twist, Hore/Silent, Buffalo Bill, Fee, NO2, Kung, Fire

YEAH
