Soundcheck: Dog Log, Ginseng Sullivan, Burn That Bridge [Possibly incomplete]

Set 1: Fluffhead, Kill Devil Falls, Cities, Funky Bitch, Wilson, Reba, Walk Away, Wolfman’s Brother, Possum

Set 2: Lengthwise -> Maze, Halley’s Comet > Mike’s Song > Simple > Backwards Down the Number Line > Prince Caspian > Rock and Roll > Weekapaug Groove, Loving Cup

Encore: Show of Life, Golgi Apparatus

Notes: Portions of Wilson were performed by Trey on a toy guitar. Reba did not have the whistling ending. BDTNL contained a Norwegian Wood tease, off-key, from Trey.

Excellent… Can you still have fun???

This BDTNL is nasty good. I also really like the Maze. What a great summer tour! We are lucky people.

Maze on my flip video from our seats in the front row.

More to come…

And here’s Weekapaug. A bit of static on Mikes CactusBombs. Way too overpowerful for this little camera.

Still enjoyable though…

I’m listening to this show right now and that is some hilarious toy guitar! I think my favorite part is when he finally finishes it and starts playing those riffs on his real guitar.

Its kind of interesting to me that no one has said much about this show. I think the jamming is so profound and amazing throughout the second set, that i can’t get it out of my cd player. Easily the best 3.0 versions of several songs that I have heard. The BDTNL is probably the best jam I have heard in quite some time, and the Rock and Roll absolutely kills it. How bout a vocal jam into Weekapaug, and a very creative version at that.

This show rocked. I was dead center about 20-25 rows behind Kuroda…got the full light show etc. The first set was fun, a good cities, loved the Reba (it is my 3 yr old sons favorite phish song and he gets so excited when I report back the next day that they played it…though he likes the whistling at the end which this one lacked) enjoyed the walk away and a great possum to end the set. Set two was great with some really nice jamming throughout…i basically stood there in awe drooling from Lengthwise right through loving cup turning every 20 minutes to my buddy to exclaim “this is f*cking great”.

I was lucky enough to be around a bunch of fans who were there for the music as well and were really enjoying the music and paying attention during the jams instead of talking…I had no real distractions from the crowd which allowed me to really focus on the playing/interaction between the guys. The whole experience was just great and puts this as one of my favorite phish 3.0 shows witnessed.

Complete show. Very good audio and video quality.

I finally got around to listening to this show and I must say, it’s brilliant! This is my kind of Phish show right here. The second set is pure heat. Not to take anything away from the first set, but the second has some of the best jamming throughout the whole set I’ve heard all year. Keep your bustouts and gimmicks and give me more of this Phish, give me that Phish.

^I completely agree. Favorite show i’ve seen this year.

I’ll take the time to write a review, so hopefully I can inspire one or two people to take a listen. It’s certainly worth it.
