Notes: This show was officially webcast via LivePhish.com and featured the Phish debut of On the Road Again. Chalkdust was unfinished.

Aw yeah, Chalkdust. That was big time.

Also, Leftover Salmon at Cervantes afterwards was ridiculous. Pasta On The Mountain and such. Great time out there as always.

^All them pasta bushes!!

That Free was realllly good. Almost old school. Hasn’t been played like that in a minute!

I just listened to this show, and I have to say that Chalk Dust Torture is really really really good, but the rest of the set leaves something to be desired. Great Song selections, don’t get me wrong, but it is like they were playing with an 18th century musket, they took their one shot, and then took damn near half an hour to reload.
But they killed it with Chalk Dust Torture, for sure. It is a must hear.

I just reread what I wrote, and laughed to myself thinking, “Why would they have to reload if they killed it with their first shot?”

This show is all about the 2nd set/encore, but I watched this first set on Youtube last night. That shit was pretty damn sick. Great opener, Wolfmans was just bangin, Fee >HTTM, Gin, Mound, Gumbo > Antelope…what else needs to be said? The whole pro-shot version is up on Youtube, and really worth checking out if you haven’t.
