Soundcheck: Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress, Uncle Pen

Set 1: Run Like an Antelope, Backwards Down the Number Line > Tweezer -> Fluffhead > Roses Are Free > Funky Bitch > The Moma Dance > When the Circus Comes, Theme From the Bottom > Golgi Apparatus, Stealing Time From the Faulty Plan

Set 2: Golden Age > Prince Caspian > Light[1], Boogie On Reggae Woman > The Wedge, The Horse > Silent in the Morning > Mike’s Song > No Quarter > Weekapaug Groove

Encore: Sleeping Monkey > Tweezer Reprise,

[1] Crosseyed and Painless tease.

Performers: Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, Jon Fishman, Mike Gordon

Notes: Light included a Crosseyed and Painless tease. Page thanked the audience before Sleeping Monkey. Fishman returned for the encore with a banana, causing Trey to fill time by remarking that Fishman almost passed out from rocking so hard during the second set. Therefore, he was handed a banana backstage to revive him. Trey and Fishman asked the crowd to picture Fishman almost passing out and being offered a banana while listening to the intro to Sleeping Monkey. The soundcheck’s Long Cool Woman contained Telegram Sam (T Rex) quotes.

Another solid show. Huge jam in Light, which had a couple hurdles in the beginning but once they stuck with it it really sunk into something tight. Golden Age and No Quarter were also pretty saucy.

First set started in epic proportion with Antelope and Tweezer and Fluffhead soon after. Roses, #Line, Circus, Theme, Stealing Time. All wonderful songs that I always love to hear.

Wonderful. One more night and it is sure to be a straight rager!

I’m pretty sure I’ve got this right, first time Antelope, Tweezer and Fluffhead all appeared in the same first set

I think Golden Age > Caspian > Light might be my favorite Phish of all time.

i was told 1st antelope opener since 90

*edited year

I haven’t heard the whole show yet, the stream I was listening to started lagging like crazy during Prince Caspian, but I hear most of the first set and Golden Age. Not nearly enough to form an opinion. I am really looking forward to hearing that light.

Don’t forget the Boogie on to follow  :open_mouth: :sunglasses:

Yup This set, and obviously friday were the def highlights of this run, imo. I sometimes/sometimes not dig caspian. It really depends on the placement, but the end of this caspian into Light was top notch. I think I listened to Golden Age > Caspian > Light , Boogie at least 3 times on sunday

Best run since they have been back by a long shot.

Best I’ve ever seen, that’s for damn sure.

Hell of a year, folks!

This light is the shit dreams are made of. Best piece of improv ive ever witnessed in person. :open_mouth:
