This was released as an LP and no one has talked about it yet?

This show was short but it’s not quantity, it’s quality. The PYITE opener was expected due to the torrential downpour. Same goes for the second set opener Drowned. The Suzy jam was insane and they really nailed the Reba. Drowned and Crosseyed were lengthy but never got stale. This was a great send off for what was my last Phish 1.0 show.

I love this show, Boozy. Love that first set. Nice “Reba.” “Suzy” is my favorite version, but the show kinda peters out after “Crosseyed.”

And the last “Albuquerque” since…CINCY!

I wouldn’t say it peters out. I used to dig this Caspian a lot. It’s fascinating that Trey can solo through all that worbling distortion and make it sound upliting. Plus a Loving Cup closer is always nice.

Man, the rain came down that night. I remember waterfalls pouring off that tent. During the set break when it really began to come down, the the people on to border between the lawn and tent began roaring at each other, like two tribes waring over territory.

Worth a listen for the Suzie Reprise alone.

This show is proof that Phish definately had some sick shows in 2000.

Listening to Darien jam 1…damn, fuckin’ rockin

This reba is one of my favorites… and that drowned jam is so unique… this must have been a great show to attend. except, perhaps, all that rain…

Not only did it pour, it was pretty chilly out. I’ve never been so thankful for pav’s. This show was the closest I ever got, 14th row. During the rain, water flowed down the steps in the pavillion like a series of waterfalls. During set break, I heard the guy next to me say to his buddies “I’ll bet you $20 they open the 2nd with Drowned.” Needless to say he was pumped, not sure if they paid him though.

^
They probably did, because Phish fans are notorious for keeping promises.

By far, one of the most beautiful Reba’s I’ve ever heard.

Ahhh, this show.

We still talk about this show till this day, my friends and I. I remember the traffic being horrendous getting in there; getting out of the car as the Reba jam was starting. We had a tent site, everyone was hurried getting out of the car and running for the venue, but something made me throw the 2 bundles of wood underneath the car. How important that move was was still yet to be known to all of us.

Musically, the show was all I could’ve asked for - all the songs I wanted to hear at that point in time. The rain started about 3/4 of the way through the 1st set, it was a gully washer. We had lawn tix but managed to make our way into the pavilion. I remember the pavilion people turning toward the lawn at set break and giving them a raucous round of applause for what they had endured.

The Drowned was a guarantee. This jamfest of a show was a treat. They play more songs in a set nowadays then they played this entire night. They just played as if no one was there watching.

By the meat of the 2nd set we were ankle deep in water, which was running off the lawn into the pavilion. I didn’t give a fuck, that’s how good they were playing. Later on I wasn’t surprised it was officially released.

We walked back to the site we had, everything and everyone soaked, except for the wood I put under the car. We were the only ones with a fire that night, at one point having nearly 30-40 people huddling as close to our fire as they could, no one complaining, just buzzing from an amazing show and thankful for some heat.
