Ugh, i’ve just been informed that the weekend of 10klf is gonna be a huge family function weekend… The Nonna Family Annual Pig Roast and my Great Aunt Mimi and Uncle Mike’s 60th Wedding anniversary where I will see lots of relatives I haven’t seen in awhile. Oh what to do? Would I be an asshole if I skipped the family functions? Or maybe I could just hit up a different festival on a different weekend instead…damn… I really wanted to go back to 10klf… i got some thinkin to do.

Set up a satellite TV feed. You can spend one of the afternoons at 10k in your campsite, “spending time” with your family. Everybody is happy.

hmmm…Umphreys is playing the main stage? I was really hoping for something a bit bigger. And Particle should be raging the late night instead of the damn Tragically Hip. Oh well…these are but minor criticisms. This is gonna be a blast!

hell yeah, i can’t tell you how pumped i am for our set time, but even moreso because WBPN is right before us!!! that’s gonna rock.
i think we might have gotten one of the best Saloon Stage slots on the schedule. no mainstage competition, late enough in the day that people will be getting up to the shows by then…AND if that’s not enough, our main competition at that time is Keller. (new riders will be right next to us on the barn stage, they fuckin rule, but it’s about a 50 foot walk to jump between us and them) so…if you want to have your face rocked off, come see us for a bit…if not…go to keller, he’ll help you get some rest, perhaps even small nap.
(sorry, i just don’t dig keller anymore, i’ve seen him enough to know what he does)
and don’t worry, umphrey’s deserves that main stage spot, they’ll absolutely rip your shit up. :o :o :o trust me.
I have to post this with much sadness and regret…The great Fat Tire event will have to be held w/o Danielle and Ryan AKA phishinsky…
We are going to miss quite possibly the best fest in our own backyard…But other priorities and $$$$ have taken hold of our life and decisions have been hard, but some other opportunities seem better at this point…
I hope I still have a place in your hearts but the times of missing the OKP might come to an end…I could make a huge triumphant return soon…
I will be at Page in JUNE and at the LogJam in August…
