no kidding, waiting til the summer is always the hardest part. luckily there’s a string of nice shows in april here in minneapolis, buckethead, galactic, particle, and dark star. that helps.

Northwoods is where its at. Trust me guys. I’m so glad the rumor I heard about dave is false!! Mike and Trey 45 miles from my house is a dream come true. I will be at that stage all day watching their soundchecks, and saving my front row spot!!
I just ordered my ticket and reserved a parking spot for northwoods!!! I have the advantage of my parents lake cabin 20 minutes away, so I can go home and shower in the mornings!! AHHHHH!! I love having this festival so close to home. I was super worried that the trend of one good year, one bad year was going to continue (2004 was kind of weird, but 2003 and 2005 kicked ass) Looks like 2006 is going to be the best year yet. If spread plays that friday night that would be ridiculous. Even if its dave matthews I don’t care, the festival is already going to be awesome.
Its gonna be great to meet up with Gamecat, phishinsky, goldenroad, etc.!!! It will be kind of weird at first. I’ve never met someone in person after knowing them online, but fuck it, we all have a lot in common. OHKEEPA shirt day will be SATURDAY!!!
The big change this year is that the festival ends on Sunday at noon, not Monday at noon…thats just fine with me.

^ i was thinking/hoping for that as well. that’d be a nice treat. but i wouldn’t miss other music just to hear soundchecks and to reserve a spot. my girl and i were on the rail right in front of Schools both nights for panic and about 50 feet back for trey, and we never got there any earlier than the act before the headliner.
that’s why i like this festie so much, the size is big enough to rage, yet small enough to always get a good spot anywhere you go.
