Notes: This show took place in a parking lot adjacent to The Grove on the University of Mississippi campus. Antelope included a hi-hat solo from Fishman.

Keep in mind that when I call this show an “average fall 94 show”, that is still saying something. There is plenty of machine-gun Trey (if you want to use that lingo) and plenty of moments of awesomeness, but in terms of going off the deep end only the Weekapaug really gets there. It is quite an awesome jam though, they hook up on this really rapid jam where they meet on a rest, but Trey plays one quiet note. Then they use this theme to construct the rest of the jam, which becomes very stop-start-ish and rhythmically complex which a lot of late 94-1995 jams are. It’s very cool. The other cool part about this show is that it was played in a parking lot on the U of Miss campus, which I would have liked to witness. My copy of this show actually picked up the acoustic stuff quite well and I was just thinking about how only Phish could pull off an acoustic-bluegrass version of Foreplay/Longtime.

Oh wait I almost forgot, the It’s Ice is bitchin too.
