I thought this second set was kind of weird. It lacked energy due mainly to their song selection, not the playing. They were clearly fired up and on point, but it just seemed like…lacking. EXCEPT of course for the Carini which is specfuckingtacular. An obvious highlight of the night and well worth the night in and of itself. The show is good and fun overall.

Seconded. Carini jam was SICK!

I really enjoyed the Ocelot and Cave… Made me appreciate the Cave even more!

Carini was the standout from set II.

I was totally drained of energy from trip (caught a city bus is Ft Lauderdale at 630 am and didn’t stop moving til showtime) but it was good to get inside and hear Wolfman’s. But it was Runaway Jim that awakened my Phish Jedi receptors and set the course for an awesome weekend. Loved the whole first set of this show. I thought Stash was pretty intense and particularly enjoyed the set closing trio of Rift, Bouncing, and Walls of the Cave. Definitely got me in the Phishy spirit.

Set 2 was solid all the way through except for Twenty Years Later, which should be shelved for a while and they should instead rip into “Architect” in those situations #realtalk. But aside from that I loved every song. And I am not usually a fan of Carini but that jam was undeniably awesome  . A surprisingly high-energy Roggae should also be mentioned here. And I can never turned down an Antelope.

Was very sweet to hear When the Circus Comes as an encore, one of my fave Phish covers.

This was stated by a few and I will agree…

^agreed.

Man I love Walls of the Cave. Great song, and played in the perfect spot. Though I miss the mellow, dreamy Roggae’s, I love what their doing w this song. Oh and the Carini.

I really love this first set. Wolfman’s opener, MOUND!, Nellie Kane, Rift, Army of One, and Walls of the Cave were excellent choices. Roggae and that sick Carini were worth the price of admission alone. My first Circus was just a cherry on top.

During the carini I said “I think we are witnessing something special here” it is the type of phish that Im always hunting for: that super chunk funk that penetrates deep into your body. At points in the funk section I turned to my girl and exclaimed WHAT!? like I couldn’t believe my ears. I love the major key shit trey was doing in this jam- reminds me of that ABB sound he was getting in the tahoe tweezer post woos. He is really demonstrating that head-hand-and-heart connection that Duane Allman had. I am googoogaga over this jam and it made the 14 hr car trip worth it right there.

I’m obsessed with the Hampton Carini and I’m trying to start a cult. Who is in?

When they drop into the final jam, at 14:12, it’s so psychic. It’s so chunky and thick. Everyone is so tight and Page hits that IV-I which Trey immediately catches on to. I don’t even mind the clapping! That groove is so clean, the clav so dirty, the Phish so thick.

Yea it was good. All the Carini’s I heard live on Fall Tour were pretty delicious! Experimental, Insane, and oh-so-good!
