I listened to this twice yesterday…right in a row. Literally after GTBT went right back to My Soul. That in itself is saying something. I think this is the best show they’ve played since 2000…easily. The low point of the show to me is Tela. That also says quite a bit.

Did you just say that last night’s Phish concert was their best concert since 1.0? And easily? Aren’t you the guy who was whining with me about first night Hartford this year?! I think I’m not really prepared for tonight’s show. Anyone know where I can score anti-face-melt-cream? Needs me my face, you know?

Yes I was, that’s why I still can’t believe how good it was. Also why I had to listen to it twice. Easily. I’m sure lots will disagree, but it’s my kind of show.

I really agree here with some of the above comments. I probably listened to that Bowie 3-4 times yesterday, and didn’t get sick of it. That version (from what I have listened to) is the best of 3.0, and a great vision of things to come. So good. SO damn good.

It really felt like old times last night. The band was just letting it flow, content to see where it might end up and yet still in complete command somehow. With the one exception of the slightly awkward transition into sand, nothing felt forced or rushed. All of the composed sections, and there were a lot of complex pieces, were tight and spot on. For much of 3.0, the composed parts have been played fairly precisely but have sounded “rehearsed,” last night they were unconscious.

I almost bailed on Utica b/c I had to work today but going in on 4 hours of sleep was the right decision.

Yea man a kid and no money these days, just had taxes due for $1,800, so my bank account is drained and I am going to 2 nights in AC.
I really wish I went, but it really wasn’t doable.
