That SLAVE! Best one I’ve ever heard live. I feel like it was better than the Hampton '97 version. Holy cow, what an amazing weekend. Incredible jams all over the place. WOOHOO!

boy, howdy

that second set was easily one of my favorite sets of Phish I’ve seen, and I have no idea where it came from cause there wasn’t much to be said about the first set IMO

yea it was a pretty amazing swing…Trey sounded absolutely terrible, rusty and tense for julius and bitch but that second set was easily top 3 or so from this year. Very good stuff.

I’m really excited to listen to this second set on my way to Rochester tomorrow

^you’re in for a great ride

With the exception of any festival, or Cypress etc. This is one of, out of the (60+ shows I’ve seen), if not my favorite set ever… Was spot on, tight, deep, thick and creamy…

Set 2: Paul and Silas > Tweezer[1] > Golden Age > Piper > Takin’ Care of Business[2] > Also Sprach Zarathustra > Sand > Slave to the Traffic Light

Thought the first set was a great pump up party time excitement builder for a truly magnificent set 2.

Set 2…speaks for itself. One of the best individual sets I’ve seen live :wtf: :astonished:

Hot damn. Is it 8:00 yet?!?!?

:open_mouth:

Had to miss Sunday to get back for work on Monday. This thread is making me thoroughly regret my decision.

NEVER skip out on the Sunday show. Remember MPP a few years ago?

Trust me, I didn’t want to. I’ve learned my lesson! Won’t be missing Hartford.

Can anybody tell me what their jamming on right before Takin Care of Business? Cause I know it’s not the same riff and it sounds really familiar, I just can’t ever place it when I listen to it

Anyone know the name of the effect Trey uses at the start of the tweezer jam? It sounds sorta scratchy, for lack of a better word.

^ It’s a wah pedal. He uses a Vox inside of a Crybaby shell I think. He’s muting the guitar while strumming it, so you don’t get tones but you still can play with the wah pedal and that’s what makes the wakka wakka scratchy noise. It also sounds like he looped it too so there’s a constant “wakka” in the background if you listen closely.

Ah yeah that makes sense. Definitely get the muted sound, the addition of the wah threw me off

This is the show I listen to the most of 3.0

Everything about it is magical.
