Notes: Whole Lotta Love was incomplete (one verse only) and was played for the first time since March 1, 1991 (1,033 shows). Wolfman’s contained a vocal jam. Gin, Possum and Tweezer and Tweezer Reprise all contained Whole Lotta Love teases. Possum also contained a Sneakin’ Sally tease. The incomplete versions of Heartbreaker, Thank You, and Stairway to Heaven were all Phish debuts. Ramble On was played for the first time since August 12, 1998 (305 shows). After Stairway to Heaven, Trey joked, “Happy Halloween! See you all next year.” Appropriately, Whole Lotta Love was also the post-show music. From the soundcheck, Ramble On and the second and third versions of Whole Lotta Love were incomplete. Destiny Unbound (in the soundcheck) was played by only Mike and Fish.

man this looks like a fun show. Really bummed that I decided against doing this run.

Last night was epcot. Seriously.

Yeah. We got served hard here in AC last night.

Like really fucking hard. Don’t know if its gonna hold up on tape.

Don’t care.

They let it go. Openly taunting with HaHaHa after the whole lotta love
Jam was awesome. They were laughing at us all night long!

Someone try some BBCode! It should work now!

Nope.

:frowning:

Dudes, 6th row practically center last night
It was amazing, the band was loving it
Was awesome to see the guys having so much fun with it
Got seats tonight but was so happy to have been able to see that happen close last night

Well I’m glad that they didn’t end up playing Mound, only because this means I have a shot at it when I got to MSG for the NYE run! Show looks really fun, especially given the new gusto of improv that’s been rollin’ down the tracks this tour. It’s so refreshing to see that Phish has returned to form in such a big way. Out there gettin’ after it!

This Possum made me do a Trey face, and the intro of Tweezer landed with a little bit more umph! than usual. Noice.

It also goes without saying, that the first set

Anyone else catch the Meatstick tease during Bowie?

I guess you meant it when you said it goes without saying.

The Tweezer/LZ seems like it would have been a lot of fun in person but really doesn’t transfer to audio all that well. Also, What Is and What Should Never Be is actually Thank You (nevermind LP got it wrong, looks like it’s right here). I got my hopes up for nothing! The tour of first set dominance continues.

Not sure that anything trumped this show all weekend. Vibe, energy, execution. It was all there. This is why I see this band. This is why I waited to blow my load (of cash…hehe) in AC! BTW…It sounds great on the recording. :sunglasses:

Best band of all time. Ridic.

^why doesn’t everyone recognize this? came to this conclusion several times this weekend and then it amazed me why there are so few people who get this.

This didn’t hit me any harder than Saturday night when I was surprised to see these two little kids sit down in the row in front of me a little to my left. They couldn’t have been more than 14, so I guess that isn’t really little, but they looked younger, but couldn’t possibly be any older than 15, max.

I was surprised to see them alone. Maybe they had guardians elsewhere in the venue, I didn’t much care after I saw them dancing to the music. I mean these kids got it. From there movements it was apparent that they knew the songs well enough to anticpate changes that were coming. They had to be listening to Phish more than casually in just the past year. They would have had to have been fans for at least a couple of years or more. And it astounded me as much as they might have been astounded by some old fart behind them playing air guitar like it was going out of style.

But they knew about Phish, and that’s what was important, and they among a select few who do. It jus confounds me to no end why this should be. Phish is such an incredible group of msuicians who have this magical talent on stage together, where they exchange musical thoughts with one another to a set of loosely structured songs, that can just blow you apart in their detail and simplicity.

I feel a poll coming on.

I hear you on all of this man, there was a 16 yr old kid we kind of took as one of our own crew after talking for a while. He drove on a bus alone from Manhattan to AC with his parents credit card to get a hotel  and did the whole 3 nights alone. That is awesome man, really give him credit. I love seeing younger kids than myself there that really get it.
Saturday is prob my all time favorite Phish show I have seen with Sunday coming in a super super close second.
Really can’t express the amount of fun I had this weekend. The boys are ON!!!

Anyone catch the “Spooky” tease in 2001? :sunglasses:

cannot stop listening to this show, seriously amazing.

Um…so I’ve tried to refrain to posting a review of this show until I’ve listened to it a few times after being there. But, this show is still awesome. I must say I wasn’t really feeling it until the jam in Chalk Dust started. But everything after that is tops. I like the new scat jam they’ve developed in Wolfman’s, but I thought Fishman stole the show in this jam. He lays down some seriously thick grooves in this one and is the master of the grace notes. The segue into Undermind is great too and follows up with a raging Bathtub Gin. And who doesn’t love hearing Page tear up the end of Coil?

I liked the Tube set 2 opener, caught me off guard. They started to get jiggy with this one for the first time in 3.0 but it didn’t go too far. Nice Trey solo in Possum as per usual, and if I remember correctly some sweet shit went down during the Tweezer. I liked the Halley’s->2001->Bowie combo including the short spacey jam before the 2001 mega-dance-party. That was fun. Then to Bowie, still considering that my favorite tune these days tied with Famous Mockingbird. And this one is one of the best I’ve seen in 3.0. Mike drives this one to some really cool mellow places before they collectively build it back up to the raging finale. Show of Life…whatever. Like the tune itself but the lyrics are pretty bad IMO. The Trey solo at the end of # Line was raging as was the Good Times Bad Times. A great show, especially the night before Halloween!

Oh yes I almost forgot to ask: won’t you Zep into the freezer? I really don’t have words to describe how awesome this was for me. There was definitely some tears of joy for me during Thank You.

Have not taken this show out of my car since I have been back from AC
