Are there any better versions of YEM out there? If so please tell me because I almost lost my mind the first time I heard this beast. I love everything about this version. My all time favoriet Phish performance of a single song.

how is that possible??? it is my favorite phish jam, favorite song, and from my favorite show, and i know that doesnt really mean anything, but its without a doubt (in my mind) one of the top 5 phish jams of all time. go buy live phish 14. now!
I know, I know. This is probably the most exulted jam I’ve never heard. other than the LP '91 release, it’s the only one I don’t own.

A little later that year, 12/9/95 is probably my all-time favorite. And while I agree that the 10/31 jam is incredible and the vocal jam frighteningly f’ed up, the composed section of that version is lacking to me… which probably doesn’t matter to most of you,but I like it best when it is great from start to finish.
yeah this one rips. im also a fan of the europe 97 show where bela comes out (7-09-1997?). this second set is awesome.

I’d say top 3 YEM’s ever.
I was there and it was even better hearing it and thinking they were never gonna stop. The jam is the best and the vocal jam is so scary good.
Not in terms of quality, but in terms of energy, i think SPAC 04 got pretty high up on the list

^ that place was rocking during the yelling part. i really think everyone in there knew that YEM was going to be played next. 4 shows in a row, towards the end of the second set of the 4th night…seemed like a perfect spot for one. the boys did not disappoint!
12/9/95 is great, but c’mon. 10/31/95 is stunning. unprecendented. improvisationally magnificent. my favorite version, hands down. the energy from teh crowd helps make it what it is too.

12/9/95 is better. This 34 minute monster doesn’t have any ambient/boring parts like the ween '95 version… the whole thing is on fire. My list so far is this:
