Friday, 11/04/1994 Onondaga War Memorial Auditorium, Syracuse, NY

Set 1: Sample in a Jar > It’s Ice > Bouncing Around the Room, David Bowie, Colonel Forbin’s Ascent -> The Vibration of Life -> Colonel Forbin’s Ascent[1] > Fly Famous Mockingbird, Scent of a Mule, Suzy Greenberg > Chalk Dust Torture

Set 2: The Curtain, Mike’s Song -> Simple -> Mike’s Song > Tela > Weekapaug Groove[2], Ya Mar > Golgi Apparatus, Slave to the Traffic Light

Encore: Loving Cup, Rocky Top

[1] Narration based around Vibration of Life.
[2] Strong Can’t You Hear Me Knocking Jam at end.

Notes: The Forbin’s narration was based around The Vibration of Life and a green light that transported fans to a Gamehendge revival. Weekapaug closed with a strong Can’t You Hear Me Knocking jam.

There’s really not a dull moment in this show. The guitar solo in Sample has tons of energy and the jam in It’s Ice, though shorter than previous versions, is really fun. A quick Bouncing break before a fucking unreal Bowie. Gotta love a monster Bowie 4 songs into the show. Forbin’s>Vibration>Mockingbird is obviously really cool. Suzy sounds and feels like the end of the set, but they drive home one fast-paced face-melting Chalk Dust before they break.

The second set doesn’t really feature much “type II” jamming, but man is it rocking. The segues come off great and the jam in Weekapaug is really cool. I also like the somewhat-out-of-place Ya Mar. Loving Cup hadn’t been played since May of that year so a sort-of bustout encore.

Great night…I was front row (thanks to my buddy to worked at Coconuts video) and fucking faced out of my mind. :open_mouth: I remember touching the vibration of life with my hands over the stage.
